Mayhew Best Way Tools 3pc Rasp Drill Set is made from titanium nitride coated tool steel. This helps the drill bits run cooler, drill smoother and last up to three times longer than your standard drill bit set. Titanium nitride (TiN) is an extremely hard ceramic material that protects the steel bit for extended performance life (hard ness equilavent to 92 HRC). Drill sizes include 1/8", 1/4", and 5/16".

Drills are OK for cutting transversely, but for any stock thicker than about 3/8 inch, the fact that the rasp tines are in even rings around the bit prevents them from cutting without raising and lowering the bit (like in a drill press). Staggering the cutting edges on the drill shank would help improve cutting efficiency.Shipping speed was good, and product arrived as displayed in the listing.

They work good on soft wood..I don't know how long they will work on hard wood

It's useful for minor adjustments to a drilled hole. It's not intended to replace a Saber saw or jig saw.

We use when we need to expand the travel of a drawer front on a drawer box for fine adjusting. Well made.

Bits were sharp and cut very fast. No signs of wear yet.

Would probably be ok for drywall. Doesn’t cut wood.
