A barrel made from five layers of very high quality materials to keep shape when half or fully filled with water. It is great in summer to have on deck as an ice plunge dip when in out of sauna and or steam room.I find it also a brilliant way to cool off on hot humid summer days. The water can be just hose pipe or with several bags of ice cubes for the reinvigorating effect to just a cool off. A dip brief of longer makes oppressive hot days very tolerable.Great for at home or because highly portable, a nice way to have a bath when camping.

Firstly, the ice bath arrived neatly and very securely packed. Inside a larger box with paper padding material, was a smaller, but still good-sized and more rigid box, and inside this, a white tote bag containing the ice bath. It was easy to slide the bath out from the bag and unfold it.There were no assembly instructions provided. The two tiny squares labelled "instructions" were in relation to the patch kit - of which there was no sign (unless "patch kit" referred to the thin bit of material which was stuck beneath each square). I therefore had to return to the Amazon listing to glean what should have been included in the box and how to put the parts together. The bottom and sides were thinner than expected, even though the material felt sturdy in my hands. The first pole was inserted easily enough, but it was an absolute pain trying to hold the holes open while attempting to slide in the remaining five poles. It also took a while to securely fasten the seal at the bottom of the bath, as the lining kept getting in the way and preventing the plug from going all the way down into the hole. But the really frustrating part was inflating the rim. Oh dear. The hand pump was much more effective than expected even though it felt fairly flimsy and squeaked quite a bit when pumping. However, the inflation point on the rim was so short that each time the rim was pumped up - before it had even reached a truly firm level, the short tube into which the nozzle of the hand pump was inserted jerked back and immediately roughly 90% of the air gushed out. After attempting to do this more than 10 times only to have it end in frustration I managed to hold the nozzle to the tube forcibly then slowly ease out the nozzle and put my thumb over the tube before closing the opening as quickly as I could. Even then, the rim was 50% deflated by the time this was done. There was no improvement when using a mechanical pump. The issue is that the design of that tube and hole is such that there is not a mechanism in place to keep most of the air in or reduce the outward air flow unless pressure is applied. This essentially renders the inflation process futile and frustrating. I had no choice but to fill it with the floppy top. This is not acceptable at this price point - anti-deflation mechanisms are more or less standard even on basic camping mattresses in this day and age.The bath did not leak, that was a relief. I didn't dare fill it to capacity due to the poor level of inflation at the top. I am 156 cm tall, but I was able to stand on tiptoe and swing one leg over at a time to get in. The height reaches my hips. When I sit down, either cross-legged or with my knees drawn up, the rim touches the back of my head. There is plenty of room for one person to move about and shift position if you are petite. After draining and drying it out, it took way too much time to fold it to a sufficiently small size to fit back into the tote bag. The bag is not very sturdy and will fall apart very quicky due to all the manouvring which is required to work the folded ice bath in. I proceeded very slowly due to the fear of damaging the bath - the material, though sturdy, was not sturdy enough to inspire confidence that it would survive strenuous pulling, pushing and folding. Consequently, this item is suitable for people who have a designated spot in which to place it and never move it from there, thus saving lots of time, stress and strain. There are errors in the listing. It is the white hexagonal inflatable tube which is the insulation cover, and the thin black cover which is the protective cover. On one of the images (the last one) these are labelled the other way around, which I found very confusing when I held the black fabric up, wondering how on earth it could provide any insulation. The 5th image from the top (3rd from bottom) provides the correct information. The difficulties in erecting and dismantling and folding this ice bath do not make it terribly portable. The absence of instructions and the terrible inflation port make this not deserving of more than 3 stars.

The ice bath is easy to inflate. The cover that is included is amazing. It's simple to drain when needed and fits an adult nicely.

This is a decent and affordable ice bath. Easy to inflate just don’t over do it to prevent bursting. Great for recovery. Not sure how last longing it will be being it’s inflatable but for what it’s worth I think it’s worth it. Holds ice quite well. Easy to drain and clean. Great for home use
