I love having the majority of my filtering going through the drains, not the skimmer because this little guy keeps the water looking inviting all the time. He works hard 4-5 days in a row (with the help of his solar panel), a night on the charger and he is back to work. Easy to empty the debris he collects. No complaints.

So far this has been a great product. Took about 5 min to go from the box to starting to clean. It is lightweight and easy to handle. The debris basket is quick and easy to remove and clean. Operationally it is super quiet. Unit worked during the day and through the night without externally charging. Over all very happy I got this and it will save time and effort skimming up floating stuff. Kind of mesmerizing watching it maneuver into and out of corners. I have not had any issues with it hanging in skimmers or steps. Couple nits. It does have trouble with some soft flowery debris, these tend to stick to the paddles and sometimes get ejected when the machine backs up. 2nd it seems to go in reverse at odd times, like in the middle of the pool where there are no obstacles. I am assuming this is part of generating a "random" pattern of cleaning. First attempt at using the remote to control movement failed, I'll need to try that again.

I guess I thought there would be some suction with the Betta SE Plus Skimmer. it goes right over a leaf and doesn't pick it up. is there something wrong with mine or is that the expectation of a skimmer? If it is the expectation, I need to return it, if there is a problem with mine, please help.Even with the noodle in the front of the skimmer, it's hung up there almost every time I look.

What you can pick-up with your net in 10 or 15 minutes takes this robot 2 hours. I bought this because I had to pass the net every hour so the robot being solar sounded practical to have. It does end up cleaning the top, but I have a good size pool (36 X 22) but this robot unlike my submersible one does not have a pattern. It does not go more than 5 feet before turning it does not measure the size and form of the pool so it can stay in the same place and the debris ends up in the skimmer. If it is a windy day it will deviate off course. The pool jets take it off course. In the end your pool will be clean but this thing moves so slow leaves have time to go around it

I have this solar powered skimmer for about 3 weeks. I got it because my son-in-law got one and loved the job it did. I do too. I just drop it in my pool and let it skim. I haven't charged it since I got it. I keep it skimming 24/7 and only take it out of my pool when we swim. My pool surface is always spotlessly clean. Between my pool skimmer and this solar powered unit, my pool looks great with very little work on my part. I have pine needles, leaves and bugs that drop in, this takes care of them with ease. The skimmer basket is large and is very easy to change and clean. The sensors work great keeping the unit moving up to and along the walls, including finding debris that blows in. Impressive skimmer. The solar power is great, just drop it in and forget it.

Right out of the box i charged it for about 5 minutes but didn't seem to need it. Takes a fast enough charge through the panel in bright light that it runs all through the night. Cloudy days aren't quite as good but it's enough to get it through the day. Picks up all the little floaty bugs on the surface. Between this and the underwater robot i haven't had to touch the pool and it's perfectly clean and clear.Very easy to empty the bucket... can do it while it's running but may not be recommended to keep from messing up the gears

Great product. Helps with the surface debri. Can just leave it on and just remember to check the basket, empty it and start it up again. Love that it is solar. And it has leg extensions for it won’t get caught on steps.

We love our Betta!! Betty works beautifully on sunny days in the summer and rarely needs charging! Around thanksgiving here she stops getting enough sun to continue doing her job without having to charge. Still not a drawback though!! She is pretty easy to clean and the lights flash red when there is an issue so it’s easy to tell when you need to tend to her. This by far is one of my favorite pool robot purchases we have made!
