If you ever find it on sale, I suggest you buy it. This item is strong and resists the wind nicely and that's very important when you think about how much rain can effect your ability to move when it's heavy rain and anything above moderate winds.

Love the way it works and folds down! I had another better brella but it is not the same as this one! This one is the one I wanted all along! It is awesome and I love it! It is so much better than the one I had! Never was satisfied with the other better brella! Love this one!! This is the original better brella! Very happy with it!

“Has a Double Layer, Compact and Reverse Folding for Car, Travel and Outdoor Use.” My husband has a red and black and I have a blue and black. They work exactly as advertised. Wind has no effect on the umbrellas as they are so durable. They are easy to work and very nice looking.

It's a medium weight umbrella, perfect for windy days when other umbrellas are blown inside out and trashed, one button closure and you stay DRY.and double layers make all the difference.

It really is a very robust umbrella. A few things to remember. When you fold it back into the 'resting' position, it feels thicker and heavier than a 'normal' umbrella. Also when it's in a closed position, the inside (blue part) is to the outside so the wet portion is on the inside. It must therefore be opened to dry.

This umbrella is not wind proof. I had it open in windy conditions and had to hold it with two hands to keep it from blowing away. It does click open, but does not easily hold in the locked open position, that takes two hands to accomplish, as well. The operation of closing, though, is smooth. I was able to get into my car without getting soaked. So, for most days when I will need an umbrella, I do believe this one will work better than a traditional umbrealla. I just will not use it in very windy conditions. Or when my hands are full.

Recieved a broken product. There is a small plastic part that keeps the umbrella from opening too far and putting the proper amount of tension on the umbrella. This part was broken when I recieved my umbrella. I find it silly that something as expensive as this works on a part so fragile. It looked and felt like a very sturdy and good product, however, with a small plastic part being the weakest link, it wont last very long to anyone who uses it.I Have contacted Emson (The company who sells this) for a response to this issue (1/26/17). I told them of the issues their product has and to see if they are willing to back their product and send a new one. I will update this as soon as I hear back. If there is no update to this post, then it means that I never recieved a response.

My sister told me she wanted a Better Brella for Christmas. I thought she was crazy & misspoke at the time so I laughed at her & said yea ok. So after looking into it, I realized she was still crazy just not as crazy as I thought. I had never heard of this Better Brella. What I really liked was there was a little video about the product which provided a bit of information & how to use it. So I purchased it, received an email that delivery was delayed a bit but still arrived before Christmas. The box was a little damaged but the contents were unharmed. My sister loves it but could have used it a few days before Christmas since it rained for a few days. Fortunately she will get to try it out this weekend when it rains again. More like if it rains again. Darn unpredictable California weather!

This umbrella kept me dry when exiting and entering my vehicle, and that's more than what I can say for other umbrellas. Even though this is expensive for an umbrella, the price was worth it with my dry clothes.If there was one complaint I had, it was that it's kind of big. I'm a small person, and I can use it as a makeshift cane. But I guess I'll take the bigger size rather than getting wet.
