The first box that I received only contained 10 markers and were missing 2 markers.. After asking for a refund and exchange, I received the box with the complete set of markers of 12, two days later. I eagerly tried them and to my surprise, the lines were comparable to sharpies. Not only that, it glides better than sharpies. I love the click-able permanent markers. I will probably use these over sharpies from now on.

These things have impressed me so far. I use them to write on steel decking and anything else that needs to be marked on and I haven't had one dry up on me yet. The tips will be ground down and useless, which takes a couple weeks or more, before they dry up. I tried the actual sharpie brand a few times and they dried up super fast, I'm talking within a couple of days, but these out last those by far.

Very happy. Sharpie is slightly lighter in color. And while sharpie black is quick to dry, sharpie blue takes time. So I bought BIC, and I am happy (cheaper and darker than sharpie!) I use for work, and need the retractable style for speed.

I have one that is used infrequently, found in my junk drawer. I wasn't sure if it would be dried out because as stated it maybe is used once a year, if that. It worked perfectly, just like new. I would hazard a guess that this particular felt is very close to 15 years old.. I was so impressed that I started thinking that these may become unavailable at some point and I would be tasked with finding something else comparable once this eventually stopped working. 12 felts are over kill for my personal use but I decided to share my experience and;I work in an industry where the staff use sharpies daily, fiddling with the cap and drying out quickly, is an ongoing problem. Based on my personal experiences I decided to order an entire box to see how they work in that environment. The reason for the 4 stars is because the box of 12 arrived as a box of 11. Will update once I get feedback from shop personnel.Update: just spoke with Ren from Amazon got refund for missing felt. Excellent customer service...4stars to 5

These pens are perfect for work! I often have to take the cap of markers on and off constantly to make sure it doesn't dry out because I make a mark roughly every 3 minutes. These are much more convenient because they can be "opened" with one hand. While I wish they didn't run out of ink quite as fast it's still VERY much worth a purchase considering they are just over a dollar each, I also can't expect a marker used daily to last as long as a pen so fair enough. Also, something other reviews are mentioning is how the tip becomes dull before running out of ink; it will not stay sharp for its lifetime but I've noticed that if I just click it a lot unconsciously it dulls much quicker. Every click causes the tip to push through the movable "lid" and by default, it will dull if it's constantly being pressed upon. This 12-pack lasted me a year and I'm about to purchase another pack! (yes it took me a year to leave a review, they are very tried and true for the long term!)

Product is generally great, but the clicking mechanism can be improved. There is always a slight hitch when I click the pen. But its still value for money nonetheless

The Bic Marking Permanent Markers (Black) work very well for many of my pen marking needs. These pens write very smoothly, are incredibly low odor, and the color is very black in comparison to . The pens are great for marking paper, masking tape, playing cards, red plastic cups, and the like. I've had no issues with smudging, and the ink dries quickly and effectively. The thing I love most about these pens are the fact that they are retractable - it's so much easier to use these pens without having to deal with holding a cap in my mouth or misplacing the cap.HOWEVER, as a balloon artist, while this pen marks very well on balloons, it is a bit more prone to smudge since it take just a tiny bit longer to dry, and it doesn't seem to fill in color as well as Sharpies. The pen ink seems to separate in some areas while drying, resulting in small dotted areas where the balloon color peeks through. This shows more glaringly on colors like metallic and chrome balloons. It's not enough to stop me from using the pens, but it's annoying enough for me to keep a few black Sharpies in my bag, just in case I need to clean up some fine details. That said, drawing on balloons is not something most people would use these pens for, and again, I like them for their much bolder black color and click top convenience. Overall, great permanent marker that's worth keeping on hand.
