came in plain packaging with no instructions or paperwork, but seems to be what it is advertised to be. I installed it with a Shimano Rear Derailleur RD-TZ200 and it worked perfectly once I dialed it in and set the high and low stops. It shifts accurately and precisely every time.

I got these shifters and brake levers to update an old 90s era mountain bike that I'm restoring. Although these are lower-end Shimano components, they're still very functional and surprisingly well made at this price point. To me, $15 for a shifter lever combo seems like a pretty good deal. The shifters arrived with a few scratches but they're going to end up getting scratched eventually, and it didn't seem worth the hassle of returning or replacing them, considering the low cost.For the price, these are a good choice for updating an older or lower-end bike.

I got this for my Walmart Schwinn and it works well. Definitely a lower-scale on the look and feel, especially the brake lever.If you need something to just work, this will do it. Major upgrade vs tidy shifters.

They were junk. They were missing pies and cables were badly frayed. I put the missing the adjustment screws for both the shifter and brakes from my old ones.? New cables. And still they would not work. The shifter mechanism would grind on the housing. So I took them back off and returned them.

Bought these to replace the shifters on a 30+ year old Specialized Rock Hopper that I've converted into a boardwalk/paved path 'comfort bike'. They're nowhere near as crisp and precise as the originals (Shimano Altus 10 RapidFire) but they get the job done. The shifters are pretty good but the brake levers have some slop. Serious MTB'ers would probably scoff at these but for a budget cruiser they do the job.
