This a is extremely well made caliper compass.Metal is strong and the adjustment wheels is solid.Only negative the wheel was tad hard to rotate so I added a bit of oil and it is now working smoothly.

The tips were very crudely ground, so I had to spend some time with a file to get them to nice sharp, defined points. The action on the threaded adjustment rod isn't great; tolerances are such that when the nut is backed off, more often than not the arm doesn't spring out as it should without a little coaxing to get it un-bound from the threads. But, it moves fine when tightening the nut, so it gets the job done. The calipers were covered in machine oil out of the package, but that's kind of par for the course with cheap overseas-made tools I guess. All in all they do the job and are about what one would expect for the price point.

The dividers we're a great addition to my tool pouch and have somewhat stood the punishment I have put them through. The dividers themselves are not made of hard steel and I bent mine accidentally. For the price though you can't go wrong

You can't go wrong for the price. It's not Veritas, but it's amazingly priced. I've used this to lay out dovetails, compare chair leg heights, scribe parallel, and scribe circles. I see no reason to upgrade one day.

A bit flimsy but not terrible. I needed to sharpen the points a bit with a file. When i got it the little pin at the top was bent and loose. Was able to fix, so really can't complain too much since the price is so low.

Bought these for marking hole locations for drilling/installing kitchen cabinet handles and other simple space-layout remodeling tasks. They seem fine for those tasks and a decent cost for what they are. The spring is strong, nut works smoothly. The legs are stout but the structure is a little flimsy, so I can understand the reviewer who said they won't hold true drawing radiuses, but I don't need to do that so... good tool for me for the price. Wish they came in a case or I could find a case for them...

The spring tension and screw adjustment work well and allow for excellent adjustment of the divider. Unfortunately it still can't maintain a constant radius during use because it lacks sufficient horizontal support. As a result the legs are prone to bending and twisting under very little pressure. If you are looking for a cheap divider for undemanding jobs, this is definitely a reasonable choice. But if you are need of something a bit more sturdy, I cannot recommend this.

I was reading an article on laying out dove tails with Calipers similar to these, and bought two to try this out. They both work flawlessly and I am very pleased with them
