I really like this bell. It is definitely suited for more classic or retro styled bikes. I have this on a steel frame New Albion Privateer and it looks like were built for each other. The bell itself attaches solidly with the clamp, but I don't know that it would hold up if you slammed into something and hit the bell. the central part of the bell is just held in place with a single bolt which is on the thin side. That said unless you are planning on crashing and dropping your bike a lot I don't see that being a problem. The bell has a very bright but long ring. It resonates a lot longer than some bells I've had in the past. The ringer is very easy to hit and you can silence the bell as quick as you like with your hand if for some reason you don't want it to resonate a long time. All in all this is a very nice bell with a retro style that is perfectly suited for any classic bike or retro build.

Nice bell except that metal ring will leave a mark. It does have rubber protectors but it's really easy to fall out. They should have just dipped it rubber coating material or at least glue them to the ring. Of course, you can do this yourself, but who wants to be troubled with it? Nice bell otherwise and sounds good. Just a bit too soft for NYC traffic.

Only have positive things to say about this bell. The construction is all metal and quite stable - nothing loose or wobbly Attaches easily to handlebars with two screws and has rubber pieces to hold the bell firmly and reliably. The design is simple with the striker assembly all one piece and connected to the center of the large brass bell. The striker feels durable and has a strong spring action. The large brushed brass bell is very attractive. And, it is quite loud. Not enough to scare away children and pets, but will definitely grab their attention. The striker is basic - one strike per swing - but it's very easy to strike multiple times to increase the volume and urgency. Given the all metal construction and materials, I don't anticipate any issues with the bell being exposed to rain and sun. On to of all this, the current price is very reasonable for what you get. Highly recommended.

Review for Bike Bell Bicycle Bell for Adult Bikes and Kids Brass Bike Ring Produced a Clear and Resonant Ringing Sound and Fit for Handlebar 22.2-31.8mm a Nice in Bike AccessoriesThis is a classic style that fits with many bikes, it appears well made and should be able to withstand a bike's life. I'm putting it on a 5 speed folding bike that has a more classic style and this fits with that aesthetic. It is easy to install just going on the handle bars and of course you can fit it to either side as you would want it to be operated. The price is also good for such a product as many bike bells do not fit a classy/classic look.

This handlebar-mounted bell is a pleasant alternative to shouting "on your left!" Installation is simple: remove the two screws holding the two sides of the clamp together, place the clamp pieces over the handlebar, re-insert and tighten the screws. It took me about 3 minutes to complete the process. The bell makes a pleasant and long-lasting ding at a sufficiently high-pitch to cut through background noise and be heard. The ding can also easily be muffled by briefly touching the bell. It's a simple design with minimal moving parts so it should be quite durable.

This is a big, beautiful bell with a nice tone that is reminiscent of the bell you see in old timey movies at the desk of a hotel or whatever to get the attendant's attention. I wish my Oi ring-shaped bells sounded more like this. The striking mechanism seems good and sturdy, but it is a little difficult to attenuate the volume by varying how much you press the lever before letting go. It might get easier with practice I suppose. I have another bell that has a ding-ding type of actuator that gives you two strikes with one motion and it'd be cool if this bell could come with that type of striker, but it's probably a bit more complicated and fragile than this single striker style. The only thing I kind of dislike about the bell is the mounting system. It works and doesn't take too much effort to get the bell setup where you want it on your handlebar, but it's the kind of mount I might come up as a homebrew with whatever I could find at the hardware store. Something that doesn't have thin metal edges exposed would be nice, though they're not sharp, but still slightly disconcerting.

I love this spell. It makes a long harmonious ring. It doesn’t scare pedestrians, but just gently ask them to get out of the way on the bike path . It comes a lot faster than the competitive model that comes from Japan.

This was an easy device to install and it sounds off about right.
