I ordered these as back ups. I always try to keep a set of brake and shifter cables on standby. Quality seems decent. Nice full kit.

I would say the quality of this set is comparable to bigger name brands. I got around to performing a repair of a frayed front derailleur cable where I ended up replacing the old housing as well.My bike is the type with exposed cables under the triangle, so I had to clip a portion of the housing to size instead of using the whole thing. Upon inspection of the clipped end, I'm happy to say that they didn't cut corners on build quality. However, I found the front derailleur cable to be a bit shorter than another set I had. Regretfully I didn't end up measuring them, but I would say this set is short by about 3-5 inches. No worries, as I had enough slack for my purposes, but something to keep in mind.The cables and housing were easy to work with, though I had no use for the o-rings. When all was done, they work great. As a side note, not pictured in the product pages are included S hooks for a bit of cable management. Overall, for what you get under $7, this is a great deal.

I received this after an extreme delay after getting an "undeliverable" notice. It turns out the deliver driver either "lost" the package or threw it in the bushes of a house about 1/4 mile from my house. The lady that owned the property found it as the snow was melting and brought it to me. It was covered in snow for at least a week before she found it. Zero stars for the driver!For the cable kit itself. It's a perfectly useable cable kit. This is best for a hybrid bike or a mountain bike. This isn't what you would use on a drop bar road bike despite the images showing road bikes. The cables seem to be on par with what you expect from inexpensive cable kits and they seem to be good quality. I've used identical cables on multiple bike rebuilds and I've never had a problem with them. These are the perfect sets for bringing an old bike back to life. 4 stars for the cable kit based on functional value.
