This can work with regular road style brake calipers too depending on how large the cable tension adjuster screws are. For example, these did not work with Ultegra R8000 calipers but worked with FSA SLK brake calipers because FSA has larger diameter tensioner. These also did not work with SRAM Red 22 brake calipers and its not a fault of the product as these are made for older mountain bike brakes and not for road. However if these fit on your calipers you will notice extra stiffness and more snappy performance from the caliper.

I no longer have this ugly silver looking doodle sticking out of my brakes.. Functions the same as a hard line. Looks much sharper this way.
