The product worked as expected. The build quality and fitment were spot on! I read reviews stating it was too stiff or too bouncy after adjustments, but I installed it straight out of the packaging without making any adjustments. Within the first 10 miles, it began to "break in." I believe you just need to ride it for a bit before making any adjustments.I wanted to address some of the negative reviews because I understand how they encountered issues. One person complained that the mating surfaces stripped and the seat couldn't stay in position. My response: Ensure that when tightening the seat post clamp, you have adequate contact on both sides of the ridged surfaces. If you don't have full contact, they will strip, but this is not a manufacturing issue—it's more about proper installation. If you're unsure how to install it, take the seat post to a bike mechanic.After careful analysis and installation, I haven't experienced these issues. I’m 6’5” and 280 lbs and have ridden with this post for about 80 miles without any problems. The post performed exactly as expected. Very happy with this product!Giving it 3 stars because I didn't see instructions on how to make adjustments.

I have a Thudbuster for my bike. My daughter wanted something similar so I bought her this. Decent looks, easily adjustable, seems built well (wouldn't use it for my little girl if it were cheaply made,) seat installation was kind of a pain. Definitely absorbs shock and makes trails more comfortable for her.

The spring does not move freely in the tube to dampen shocks. You have to hit something hard to feel any movement. Unit looks well built but didn’t really perform as expected.

I originally purchased one of these in a thinner diameter and used a shim to fit my Lectric XP 2.0 but the seatpost kept slipping down through the shim. Although the manufacturer says you need a 31.8 seatpost the .02mm difference is negligible so it fits perfectly. Also, as long as you adjust this seatpost for your weight and how much play you want when hitting bumps it works great!
