How to install our U-lock!
Step 1: Choose the mounting location:
Decide where on your bike you want to mount the U-lock bracket. Typically, the most common locations are the seat post, the top tube, or the down tube. Choose a spot that is easily accessible but also doesn't interfere with your riding.
Step 2: Attach the bracket to the bike:
Once you have decided on the location, use the provided screws and a screwdriver to attach the bracket to the bike frame. Make sure the bracket is securely attached and tightened so it doesn't move or slide around while you're riding.
Step 3: Test the fit
Before you put your U-lock into the bracket, test the fit to ensure it will hold your lock securely. Insert the U-lock into the bracket and check to see if it fits snugly. If the fit is too loose or too tight, adjust the bracket as necessary.
Step 4: Secure the U-lock in the bracket
Once you have ensured a good fit, place the U-lock into the bracket and make sure it is secure. You may want to give it a little shake or tug to ensure it won't fall out while you're riding. Congratulations, your U-lock bracket is now installed!

Having previously owned a similar lock from a more 'premium' brand that cost twice the price (and whilst being invincible from thieves it became inoperable due to rust), I was shocked at how good quality this one felt straight out of the box. From the mount piece to the lock itself, I was very pleasantly surprised. Easy to install and it comes with different grip pieces for different frame diameters. The keys and the lock feel like nice quality.I bought it specifically for my 'cheap' knock-around-town bike and it does the job of being a deterrent perfectly. Obviously it's not been properly tested yet, but if all goes well I might buy another for my more expensive bike.

I have been using this product for 3 months now and it's been very reliable. It had been to many places, and still going strong and very reliable in keeping my bike safe. It does not matter if it is a bike rack, a post, a tree, or just a fence the U lock and the cable always made it work. I got my money's worth. The keyhole cover is a very nice touch. The cable and the U-lock is the star of the show. SOLID. Heavy but outweighs it's sturdiness.

Lock, cable, keys and holders included. Soft plastic covered cable won't scratch and easy to feed through frame, tire, and around a pole. My frame is too thick for the mount but was able to attach to the seat stem.Further, I don't even need to take the lock off the holder. Just unlock it, feed the cable around where I need it and back onto the lock. Working out great and should take anyone a little time to get through it.Seems to by a good value for what I got and a little piece of mind.

I recently moved into a new apartment building known for having some bikes stolen, so I decided to invest in a solid lock to deter thieves as much as possible. This one does the job, and then some. The cable is long enough to wrap through both wheels, and the lock is extremely thick and solid, so I have no qualms about leaving my bike locked up. Some pros and cons:PROS:-The cable and lock are both extremely sturdy-The lock is very easy to unlock, and there are even two keys so you have an extra if you misplace one.-The lock twists to hide the keyhole out of sight which is a nice feature-I really appreciate being able to store the lock and cable on my bike when I'm on the move instead of lugging it in a backpackCONS:-This isn't really a con, but more of an annoyance: the cable IS long enough to wrap through both wheels, but I had a little trouble doing this with the way my apartment's bike rack is set up. Again, that's more me than the cable itself and it really is plenty long.-I had a bit of trouble securing the storage bracket to my bike. It kept slipping down on the frame, but I was finally able to tighten it enough and haven't had an issue since.Really, five stars here and no complaints. Great lock for a great price.

Ich habe das Fahrradschloss von Sigtuna nun schon seit etwa einem Monat und es funktioniert wirklich einwandfrei und sieht auch sehr gut verarbeitet aus. Da ich in einer Fahrradstadt lebe und ich mein Fahrrad auch wirklich JEDEN Tag nutze, brauche ich ein gutes Schloss um mein Fahrrad sicher und schnell abzuschließen. Ich hatte vor Sigtuna schon 2 Schlösser in 4 Monaten verbraucht. Ich war sogar extra bei einem Fahrradhändler um mir ein besseres Schloss als die gängigen und dünnen zu kaufen, aber auch das hat nicht geholfen. Daher bin ich sehr froh mit meinem Sigtuna Schloss, denn man kann es sicher und einfach am Fahrrad mit einer Vorrichtung befestigen (braucht nur einen Schraubendreher). Es hat ein weiteres dickes Klabel, welches mit dem Schloss verbunden werden kann, sodass man den "Abschließradius" vergrößern kann und das Schloss kann durch einen Drehmechanismus vor Schmutz und Regen geschützt werden.Kann nur sagen: Klasse Schloss!

This review might be helpful specifically to customers living and biking in NYC. I recently purchased a bike. In fairness, my bike was purchased used and is a basic Giant women's bike. But it's in great shape and definitely an attraction for thieves. I've been using this lock for two weeks now. Here is a list of pros and cons:Pros:- Flex cable is great in securing both wheels- In order to get through the lock, a thief would have to cut both sides of the "U"- Built-in protector for wear and tear of keyhole against weather elements- Unbeatable price point for the whole package- Lock bracket provided- Doesn't weigh a lot (compared to other U-locks)- Once secured, the whole contraption looks formidable and is hopefully a deterrent for thievesCons:- The lock bracket is of low utility if you also want to secure the flex cable along with the U-lock- The velcro strap provided to secure flex cable was not great. It's already tornOther observations on U-locks in general:- My bike is a step through (not a diamond frame). It is hard to really find a place for the lock bracket, so it's kind of useless to me (but this would be true of all U-locks). So I just secure the U-lock around the bike handle- You might want to buy a bigger size if securing in NYC. I am able to manage with this lock and flex cable, and I did not want the extra weight of a bigger lock. But sometimes it is challenging to fit the "U" around street bike racks and I spend a few minutes doing thatOverall, a great purchase. If bike gets stolen despite this lock and cable, that's just bad luck. I would recommend and would also consider buying again if I am in need of another lock.

The lock is very strong and secure without being too heavy. Mounting on the bike is very convenient but keep in mind that it does add some weight. The mount for the u-lock mounts solidly to the frame, but it does allow the lock to jiggle around a bit when you ride which can be a bit irritating at times. The mount for the cable lock broke the very first time I installed it, but I wasn't surprised as it is just a velcro band. I wasn't too worried about it as mounting it to my bike got to be too cumbersome anyway. The lock mounts nicely to my frame with just enough room to fit my bottle and without getting in the way of peddling.I lock my frame to the bike lock with the u-lock and run the cable through both of my tires. This has seemed to work well and is very secure. I also like that the silver cylinder in the middle can rotate to cover up the keyhole. This will confuse a lock-picker and at the very least add a few precious seconds if they try to pick it, which I think would be pretty difficult to do anyway!All in all I feel much more comfortable with this lock than I did with my previous cable lock that was cut and taken along with my nice mountain bike!
