The old Ford's ride is much better now. While some say the shocks loosen up after a break-in period, I believe the performance is just right. Previously, I had Rancho RS9000 suspension, which is known for its quality, but this time I decided to try Bilstein.

Because of poor quality reviews on the Rancho brand shocks, and have experienced great results with Bilstein shocks on other vehicles I purchased a set for my Ford F250. I hope the Bilstein 4600 front shocks don't need to be replaced anytime soon; because they require holding the top rod with 5mm Allen key, while turning the locking nut with 19mm wrench. The Rancho shocks have a 21mm nut under the bracket to hold the the top rod and 21mm top nut that makes them easier to remove. If the Bilstein shocks need to be cut off I'll replace them with Rancho's. The rear shocks are no problem to replace.

Blistien shocks are great. Do not like having to use an Allen wrench to tighten the top nut on the front shocks. Their a pain to torque. That happens to be the style for my truck.

The shocks are bilstien so….they’re awesome. The problem was missing hardware and incorrect hardware. I’m getting really tired of purchases arriving with previously opened boxes and mismatched and missing hardware. I had to reuse old rubber and washers from the rancho shocks and make a trip to the hardware store
