After a couple of years, the first set I bought had a battery go bad. It wouldn't hold a charge. So, I tried finding just a battery, but did not find one. Since it had lasted a reasonable time, I just bought a whole new set. (@ batteries, covers, and the charging stand. The batteries were fine, but the charging stand had three bent contact springs bent,(crushed) down inside the stand itself. No other pieces were floating around inside the box, nor was the box damaged, so I have to assume the damage had occurred before it left the manufacturer.

Comes with two batteries, one didn’t even hold a charge, other only lasts a few hours. This item is probably just another refurbished POS that Amazon will send you and then NOT help you when it ends up being GARBAGE!

The battery covers do not work for series S/X, finicky when placing controllers but great for Xbox one controllers. I have the series X and this won’t work for me unfortunately so I’m sending it back to get one that will. If my nephew didn’t already have a charging station for his Xbox one I’d keep it for him.

This charging station works well, the only issue I have had is that the charging contacts don't always make contact with controller battery on placement. The controllers do not fit snugly in station - there is a little play in there but once I got used to where to place the controller, I haven't had any issue.***Update***After owning this device for a few months - one of the batteries has swollen inside of one of my controllers and melted it a bit, AA's still seem to fit ok though. I will not continue using this product as it seems to be a hazard.
