The map appears to be well made, but so far I haven't been able to use it because of the strong VOCs.It comes sealed in a plastic sleeve, which likely traps everything that off-gasses. So taking it out will quickly stink up the room. I had to throw it outside or risk my budgies breathing it in.After a couple of days, I ran it through the dishwasher, which helped a lot. However, if I put my nose up to it, which is exactly where my budgies will be breathing, it still has a strong smell.I will attempt other things and I will update this review when I find a way to solve the VOC problem.

My rescue pigeon liked pecking for food on this textured pad. Small but was effective. Well made and very sturdy.

regret buying. it’s the perfect thickness and challenge for my cockatiels but I’m afraid to give it to them because of the smell - it is clearly not food grade silicone (does not state that it is and that’s my fault for not noticing!) tossing because it’s not worth the risk of possible harm from voc exposure! going to buy a silicone snuffle mat for them that’s food grade instead. just have to find the right design for birds because they’re all designed for dogs, it’s a challenge. so many of the mats designed for birds are too shallow or simply made of unsafe materials

We have been using these for our 2 parakeets for several weeks now. They are super easy to clean and keep the birds busy for hours throughout the day. They also help cut down on seed mess outside the cage which is a huge win!

This is a perfect size feeding mat for my 2 parakeets. They like foraging and eating off the bottom of the cage. This mat holds a good amount of food and keeps it from getting strewn all over or falling through the metal grate bottom. Sturdy silicon and easy to clean. I recommend.

I actually bought this for an off-label purpose - to put under a small dog bowl - and it works well for that. My one issue with it is that the back is a little sticky, so if there's spills, it can become "suctioned" to the floor a bit. That said, as this isn't really what it's for, I'd say it warrants a decent rating overall.
