Positioned in the correct location where birds have built nest in the past. But after 12 mo. no birds. But what’s even more disappointing is the house has completely fallen apart. All the finish has worn off, the wood is warped, the chimney fell off, part of the roof came off, entire bottom, split in half and came apart and the wood cracked by the door. I am currently glueing and tacking it back together the best I can. I’m not sure it will work but this is too expensive to throw away after a year. It is behind my shed protected from the wind and only gets direct sun in the morning. The camera works good and stays charged but there’s nothing to see. Disappointing purchase. I did not take photos of it 8n pieces but I have photos of it currently being repaired.

Cord that connects camera to solar panel is too big to fit through pre drilled hole. Had to drill more of a hole which messed up camera door a little. No easy door to clean bird nest out unless you have the hands like a Chinese person 😉. Had to glue top part of chimney on because it came off. Directions for whole thing suck. Camera quality does seem ok so we will find out.

Bought this for a friend and put it together but the directions were not real good. The tray that slides out to install the camera rubbed against the door making it hard to open. The slot in the door was not big enough for the solar cable so I needed to ream it out to get it through. The wood has a light coating on it but I think it will need to be replaced soon or done before putting it out or placed under cover. I bought a tf card as I didn’t want to buy the subscription but if you want videos you will need the subscription. The string to hold it was not installed and is a chore to get it through the hole. I would have liked a better mounting system that is a little more stable.

This is a cute birdhouse that says it has a camera, but it doesn't. However, it has a space for you to put your own camera in, as I've shown in my photos. I also decided to repaint it and give it some character because my birds deserve a little luxury 💎🐦😏. I also did this because the pine was coated with some type of poly finish that didn't look like it was going to weather well, so I painted it with a good outdoor house paint then coated it in a weatherproof polyurethane. It's winter now, so we'll have to wait until spring to see if anyone moves in. The camera I will be using is a wireless wifi camera that can be charged with a solar panel so it can record the birds without disturbing them.

I got this for an indoor kids playroom. The little decorations around the house make it well suited for a bookshelf and a festive look overall.

EDIT - HAVE ANY HAD A BIRD OCCUPY THEIR HOUSE? I'M CONCERNED THE ENTRY HOLE MAY NOT BE OPTIMAL FOR THE LOCAL AVIAN COMMUNITY>. BIRDS ARE VERY PICKY AS TO THE HOLE SIZE FOR BIRD HOUSES THEY WANT TO OCUPPY.I purchased this birdhouse for my wife's birthday, and he loves it. It has been hund and the solar powered camera installed, however we don't expect inhabitants until the nesting season that begins in early spring. The customer service is first rate - they helped when I struggled with selecting the correct camera app to install on my Android phone. It may seem a bit pricey, but for a turn-key system that includes everything needed to witness the miracle of bird nesting and hatching, you won't be disappointed! One small easy to correct issue is there is no hole predrilled for the cable to enter into the house to plug into the camera. The manufacture indicates this has been corrected on future versions of this birdhouse. To add a small hole - using a serrated edge knife, CAREFULLY saw a small notch in either an edge of the door or the door frame, just large enough for the cable to pass through. See attached pictures. You could also drill a small hole just large enough for the USB plug end to pass through.
