Bought this as a gift and it is clearly used. Dirty and damaged packaging, dirty and scratched device. May return for a new one but at this point it's way to late to do that for a Christmas gift.

My nephew, who is crazy about fishing and has just about every piece of gear you can imagine, was fascinated by this multi tool. Doesn’t seem especially heavy duty, but it’s real nifty, and I didn’t see any other multi tool in the market specifically made for fishing. He’s quite a bit younger than the “intended” 14+, but just tell him to be careful. He’ll always be fishing with a grownup, and doesn’t seem any more dangerous than fish hooks flying through the air.

I don't carry batteries in my fishing tackle box. Honestly I didn't read the description so my bad but I can tell you this thing will not be used ever. It will get batteries once and then sit in my tackle box. I forgot my golden rule of fishing. I don't need fancy stuff to fish and you probably don't either.

I am not a fisherman myself. I bought the tool as a present for a fisherman. It was a lot bigger than I had thought by it photo. However it seemed to be well made and rugged enough for hard use. All the feature seemed to work easily, just by using them. I can only wonder how it performs in a fish catch situation where there is much kaos in dealing with a live fish. Still it is an interesting tool and I imagine it could be used in situations other than fishing. I would recommend it to others.
