I have three pairs I’ve been wearing them for three years every single day for 20 hour work days and they refuse to rip have snag them so many times I don’t know how they are even still together. I don’t have a single hole in them and at some point, I’m gonna need to replace them just because they are caked in paint grease and anything else I use them for during contracting for the last three years they’re unbelievably good and breathable, and the pockets are exactly what I need. I’ve been asked about them so many times because they are just so versatile and make the job so much easier

These are the Most Awesome work shorts I've had in 40 years in the building business. Don't be alarmed by the price. The quality and durability, breathability, and lightness, is worth way more than the cost. If you work outside or inside and use a hammer and any other tools in your trade these shorts WILL BE YOUR FAVORITE TOOL

They work well for getting up and down the ladder because you can stick so many tools in the pockets without having to wear a toolbelt

Quality materials and workmanship. I wouldn't fill the pockets with nails every day, but they are more reiforced than any pants or shorts I've owned and they are pretty convenient for small jobs that require multiple tools. I like not having to wear a heavy toolbelt on a hot day. The stretch panel up the crotch keeps my junk from getting bound on the seam and it seems to breath well. I didn't realize how much of an issue I had with this until tying these shorts. I've been wearing Wrangler cargo work shorts. Quality of those is very good and less expensive than Carhartts, but these are a notch above and the Wrangler ripstop material is more stiff, even after washing. Both have a straight fit like most other work pants/shorts which doesn't really suit me but they work. I'm also between sizes- a true 35. I'm not slight at just under 200lbs at 5'7". I bought a 36 like I usually do and they are just on the loose side. That was expected, so I would say they are true to size. They might be flexible enough that I could have gone down a size instead of up. I'll probably try that next time. Can't do that with the wranglers or Carhartts I own which take a long time to break in and still pretty constraining. There really isn't a break in with these. Blakladers are expensive in my book, but it's worth buying at least one pair, just don't size up unless you plan on gaining weight. Doubt you would be disappointed. They are well made, durable and functional.Had some issues with shipping thanks to USPS and there was a delay getting out a replacement because of low stock. They fit well enough that I didn't feel like returning them, but for this price, you might want to buy two sizes and send back the ones that don't fit as well. These might be worth the effort (which I usually won't make).

I have only worn these for a few days. I bought them for the days I need to install fixtures on steel studs. I use lots of little truss screws, a impact drill, tape and sharpie. Up and down a 8' ladder a lot. Nice not having to wear my regular tool bag at my age. The flap pockets worked great for the screws easy to access and not sticking into my thigh. Corner edges of reg pockets are reinforced for a tape measure or clip knife. Back pockets seem reinforced and deep keep my linemans from falling out when needed. I often put the 25' tape measure in the pouch pocket and it was easy to retrieve. Little pockets worked great for the sharpie. Little pockets did not work well for my klien screwdriver or other tools like dikes or heavy needle nose.I found them comfortable, and did not rush to take them off when I got home first night. There is a heat wave currently over Los Angeles and these made it a bit more bearable.I probably should find a light belt if I try to put more into them, Wranglers I am probably a 35 but have a lot of tight fitting 34s, this I ordered in 34 and it felt comfortable.Time will tell, I tend to wear shorts for many years, hopefully these hold up.
