- Do I need to nail into my wall to hang a wall hook?

Used these to hang string lights around my patio and they worked great! I wanted to post since I saw reviews to the contrary. Before placing the hook I cleaned the surface with alcohol and it adhered well. The hooks have 3M adhesive! I placed hooks at a max of 9’

Arrived in individual plastic bags without instructions, 4 tubes of nail glue, 3 sheets of very thin and flimsy one-sided stickerswith Chinese writing on them. There is no adhesive on the backs of these hooks. I was expecting a peel-off 3M type backing. Am I supposed to try and install them by smearing the nail glue all over the hook and my landlord's cupboards?? Advice, look elsewhere.

I saw someone else say it feels like they fall just from looking at them wrong, completely agree. they hold almost no weight and all have fallen almost immediately. Ridiculous waste of money. The fact that they even have a purse hanging from one in one of their advertisement pictures, no these hooks would absolutely not hold up a purse!

I have ordered several of these hooks. They come in handy behind your doors for guest to hang clothes. They hold 10-13 lbs. hung in my shower for back brush, etc. water proof. Worth the money . Planning to order more in the future.

I purchased a pack of these hooks to hang up items in a utility / laundry room. They were fine for lightweight items but could not hold a floor mop. The hook just pulled off the stained pine board they were attached to. I ended up buying some super glue, squeezing a few drops onto the back of the hook, and reattaching them to the same mounting board. The hooks have stayed attached with this workaround for about a month now - even holding the weight of a full gym bag and damp mop.

These hooks look great and are designed to stay which is awesome, however, that’s also their downfall and why I knocked a star. I wasn’t happy with the placement and so I tried to move it and it took a chunk of the paint with it. If you’re transient it’s probably not the best decision to get these hooks or if you will second guess your placement…

Love these hooks, but they don't hold on cinder block walls, like in a classroom. Wanted them for our classroom go bag, but it wouldn't adhere.Does great in other locations though.
