I installed this light on the bow of my drift boat and it works great. It is apparent from the minute you open the box that Black Oak cares about the products they sell.Installing the light is simple as long as you’re using it for a standard application. In my case it was slightly more involved as I needed to make a spacer to get enough room to adjust it correctly and could not use the inline connector the light comes with. It wasn’t bad, just slightly more involved than a typical application. The light is waterproof but comes with a sealed drain plug. This feature is one of the features that make the light stand out. It allows you to air out the light, removing any condensation you might get from using it in cold weather.I have two lights made by Black Oak and would highly recommend them. They are well made, bright, easy to install, have comprehensive directions and are built to last.

My husband has a project boat that needed a lot of work. It’s an older boat so one of his complaints was that the original light was small and dim. Since he likes to night fish, he wanted something that would light up the night. This light is much smaller than I expected but it puts out a ton of light. He actually mounted it on the back of the boat because that’s where he needed the extra light. Since the boat is older, he had to do a lot of wiring and added a toggle switch to the dash but it worked out well and is just what he was looking for.He loves it so I recommend it!

I mounted this on a ball mount and attached it to the roll bar of my sxs and it works great to light up the sides of the sxs. This light has a wide-angle beam, it is very bright and beats most if not all of the foreign lights that are out there. As soon as I save up some more money, I want to get a Black Oak light bar for my truck as I love the light output of this light and how durable the housing is. The finish is a nice bright white powder coated finish that has taken a small beating with all of the tree limbs rubbing against it and there are no scratches or scrapes on the light housing or lens!

I like this light because it’s small and won’t get snagged up.It’s impressively bright and casts a wide , flood type illumination.The case is rugged and nicely coated I’m a marine white. The cooking fins are large and dissipate the heat very efficiently.It’s perfect for front of my kayak.It has an IP69k marine rating.I went to look at my setup and my battery was right there. I hooked up the leads to test it and WOW!I really wasn’t ready for the amount of light that comes out. It turned a dark shed into a completely illuminated shed.The bracket that’s provided is perfect for easy mounting on the front of your boat or kayak.The installation is straightforward.I like that the wires are pre stripped. That makes connection to the battery connectors a snap.I’d highly recommend this light to anyone wanting a lot of light from a small housing.The LED lights consume much less electricity than conventional ,and put a much lower draw on my onboard battery.This is a game-changer for night or early morning marine illumination.It’s a two thumbs up from me!

we live on Lake Okeechobee and fishing is one of our favorite pass times. We needed a bright light for the pontoon boat to do some night fishing. This light is very well made and good quality. It was easy to install. Also it doesn't take up a lot of space but offers incredible light.

The hardware and construction on this Black Oak light are top-notch!All of the mounting hardware is high-quality stainless, the powder coated body is sealed and solid, and the wiring includes an OE style gasketed plug/connector to make removal/replacement easy if needed.This light supplies good close- to mid-range light that is bright and even, in a very compact package. But at around $95 per light, if you need something that is super high output instead at a bargain price, these aren't what you're looking for.The only negative is the mounting bracket offers limited tilt capability - when flush-mounted on a horizontal surface, they won't tilt downward at all. That's the only reason for taking one star off this review.

THIS THING IS BRIGHT! Put it on the front of my kids go cart and he drives in pitch black, except for this one light that lights the sky up!
