I added this to my sushi collection.. I think it looks fantastic, definitely an upgrade. The only thing to remember is that most of your sauces. Are the same color as this dish so be aware.

These are essential crockery for Japanese cuisine, which often brings together numerous small dishes. They are well made, are very stable on the table, and have an understated beauty. I use them for soy sauce and other sauces, for pickled dishes, for ginger, for tofu delicacies -- the list goes on and on. I have a collection of Japanese ceramics with neutral, natural tones, and these dishes fit right in, and are indeed complementary.

I love these bowls. I was looking for something small just for dipping in these fit the bill. They look very artistic but they are sturdy and clean up easily.

This set was very nice and sturdy, and a little on the rustic side, which I like. The individual ones are unique when you look at them closely. There’s a little bit of a gray streak going through the color, although it’s mostly black.
