This seat is very well constructed, was metal plate on bottom not plastic, like some of the others with plenty of mounting holes for different machines, all threaded, they are tapped for 5/16 and 3/8 bolts, not metric, could not believe that. Also, the seat is manufactured in Italy, not China. Very very easy to install, I like the high back, much more comfortable than my old low back seat. I installed on my 2002 craftsman 20 hp riding lawnmower, my old dinosaur that keeps on running like it did in 2002. Highly recommend this replacement seat

This seat is way more than expected of mower seats. It’s extremely comfortable, and very accommodating when taking on rather steep hills or banks. My yard is about a quarter of an acre, so given the obstacles, unlevel terrain, and hills and banks to maneuver, it takes roughly 1-1.5 hours for rider work. When finished, I didn’t feel stiff, or the aftermath of the vibrations that can come with this type of work. I was rather surprised by that. Extremely satisfied with my purchase and would absolutely do business with this seller again!

Perfect fit, great materials. Does not include bolts, so oil and use your existing bolts. Threaded inserts for bolts is perfect. Updated seat material is very good, comfortable, probably very durable. High seat back makes you sit up strait. Position seat far back for best results. Watch position of water drain hole over your battery. Great product.

I bought this to replace the seat on my Craftsman LT2000 garden tractor. Turns out my Craftsman was more of a "low back" seat than this is, but this does provide more back support. Two of the holes line up with holes in the seat bracket, but I had to drill 2 more to match up with other holes in the seat bottom. Also, the original Craftman seat has a center hole that a sliding bracket attaches to that allows the factory seat to adjust back and forward. This new seat does not have that mounting provision, so it will be fixed to wherever you bolt it to the seat bracket. It sits just where the old one did for me (I didn't even know the factory seat adjusted until I got to looking at how to remove it!)My only caution here is that the seat is heavy enough that it seems to just barely disengage the mower stop safety when you get out of the seat. If it were a little heavier or if I had installed it a little farther back then it may not disengage when you get out of the seat. That would be a safety problem.So, it was a little harder to install than I had hoped (I had to drill 2 holes), but still, it's a very nice seat and far cheaper than a factory replacement seat, which last time I checked was well over $150. I also like that this seat has a drain hole so rainwater won't pool in it.Time will tell if it holds up, but I'm satisfied with the purchase and I'd buy it again.

Good quality, fit and strength. This is not the cheap vinyl covered OEM junk that comes on most MTD products. This appears to be injection-molded and thick super-fused top-hide - that looks like it cannot separate or tear away from the seat. The seat is firm and not as cushioning as the stock seat, but is very supportive, comfortable, and waterproof - it even had a drain hole so water will drain off. Was able to easily fit this to a 2003 Troy-bilt Bronco... wish I had installed this 6 years ago! This is definitely worth the price!

Good quality, needed to drill two extra holes in the mount plate on my GT6000 Craftsman, but fits well & is comfortable.
