I replaced some of the trim screw covers on my R-POD because the original stuff had shrunk. This was fairly easy to use even though I did the replacement during cold weather hoping that it won't shrink like the original factory stuff that I'm sure was installed in a nice warm factory. I'm also going to use this for the trim ring around the raised top of my van conversion.

The front screw trim covers on my travel trailer had become hard and cracked the full length. This product is very pliable and easy to manipulate. I did not need any extra tools to get it into the channel. The only reason I did not go 5 star is because this product appeared to be much thinner tha. The original scre trim cover which was the original from 2017. Time will tell if it will handle the elements and UV rays. All in all though a good product, cheap and easy to install. Just make sure you have the proper sealant for areas it was previously sealed at. Also the first pictures is the old cracked one so don't get confused when looking at my pictures.

A perfect fit for my RV and my Toy Hauler alike. It cuts easy and holds well. It fits right in the channel as it's supposed to. The question comes down to durability and longevity and this is how to make it last:Pro-tip:1. Before you install it, treat it with your favorite plastic protectant. It doesn't matter which, Armor All, 303 etc. As you roll it out keep a nice coating of protectant on BOTH sides, believe it or not I have found this helps. Don't only put it on the side that takes the sun.2. Another trick is while you're putting it on and moving the molding down the channel you can add a little bit of extra protectant in the channel and it actually makes it slide through easier and protect the plastic around it at the same time. Win/Win.

Measure the width of the end that Is tucked underneath which In my case Is 1" wide. Measuring across the outside of the track will not give you the correct measurement unless you've done this before and know what you've got. Replaced all 4 strips on the corners of my camper with a 50' roll with some extra left over. Remove screw at bottom end. Pull old molding off as high as you can reach. Get ladder. Remove lap seal on top end to expose the other screw. Remove screw. Remove rest of old molding. Take note of where the hole Is for the screw so you don't have to poke another hole In the roof. Tuck one side of new molding In the top, put the end right where the old molding started. Squeeze the other side of the molding towards the already tucked In side enough to Insert It Into the track. Now put your screw back In. Now would be a good time to use a not so rusty screw. Continue to tuck one side In for maybe 6" at a time and then squeeze and tuck opposite side. Do this the whole way down. At the bottom past the track make sure you cut the molding at least a half Inch past where the screw will go. Scissors work perfectly to cut the molding. I did NOT cut the molding until I was at the point where I was ready to put In the bottom screw under the floor. Might as well lap seal the top end while you're re-lap sealing other areas of your roof. I simply unrolled the molding as I went. New molding looks great. Very simple to work with. One of the easiest things I've done on a camper.Molding Is not stiff. It Is not made to go around round corner windows. It goes over curves and such on corners of campers perfectly. It amazes me how people can buy the wrong product for their application then give that product a bad review.
