These DO NOT WORK about 80% of the time. Incredibly frustrating. The Memorex black CD-Rs were great, but nowhere to be found for a sensible price. DO NOT BUY THESE!

Nice discs, but manufacturer glued packaging label to the stack of discs, leaving glue on half the discs. How Brilliant! They just couldn't provide the usual plastic tower-carton.

These CDs were perfect for our rocker-themed wedding favors! Good quality sound and really neat looking disks. My bridesmaids and I used metallic sharpies to write and draw on them, which looks pretty neat.

A few years ago I bought a couple of 50 packs of Memorex Black CD-R discs. They were very cool looking, especially when used with Sharpie silver metallic markers. I don't record much so they have lasted 3 or 4 years. I recently started downloading and burning some old time radio shows. I'm on my last few Memorex Black discs and when I went to purchase more I found that they are apparently out of production and if found they're outrageously over priced. So, when I discovered these and read the reviews I ordered them (they come two 50 disc packs to an order). I received them earlier today. They look great. In fact, they looked so good, I thought about ordering another set to keep in stock. However, since a couple of folks complained that their players had trouble reading them, I had to test them first. I tried to burn three radio programs on one disc. Together they were supposed to be 79:40 minutes in length. The disc seemed to burn okay, but only the first track played. When I skipped to track two, the number 2 showed on the display, but it would not play. I became concerned. However, 79:40 minutes was not leaving a lot of room for error in timing. I usually burn 55:00 to 68:00 minutes. So, I burned another disc with two shows for 57:35 minutes. It played perfectly. I then burned another disc with three shows at 71:25 minutes and a fourth disc on which I pulled together three shows totally 76:47 minutes. They played fine. Finally, I burned a fifth disc with three shows totally 78:30 minutes and it played fine. So, I believe that the length of the first recording was the problem, not the disc. The burning took place on my two year old Dell computer's DVD/CD unit. The playing was done on my Bose Wave Music System. I am now going to order another set before these disappear, too.

These are great-looking, but aren't compatible in my Macbook which is a huge problem. The computer won't recognize these discs.
