For the most part all the tools are well built and have high quality metal where they should. All in all I'm happy with the quality all things considered but I do have the expectation that this is a DIY'er type kit and not "professional quality" To be this versatile there are some trade-off made between tools that detract a little from each tool but all in all it is a good investment if space is a concern.Pros:Less space needed for multiple toolsPrice somewhat reduced over whole tools. Some accessories are offered for steep discounts to expand your setStorage Case included.Inflator works very well and is very compactJig saw is very maneuverable and has a small footprintDrivers both work very wellVariable speed driver for all.Cons:Some tools are lower power than typical: Circular saw (not included) is a 3 1/2" sawReciprocating saw is underpoweredStorage case not very durable.Case leans over if you attach the two additional boxes.Notes:Inserts in case are thin plastic and not really re-usable.Final thought:Personally I feel that there are quite a few compromises on each tool and the price differential isn't where it needs to be to compensate for that, however if you factor in the reduction in storage space I think this set could be a good value if space is a premium for you. Overall I do recommend it if you need a compact tool set.

This Black & Decker multi piece tool set is great. It comes with a lot of attachments: a drill, an impact driver, 2 types of saws (with blades), 2 types of air compressors (one for tires and one for high volume low pressure items such as my pool rafts, etc.), a sander (with sandpaper pads), a flashlight, battery with charger, and a 3 piece storage container with snapping lids that can be connected together or used separately. All of the tool attachments have worked great for me so far, and they all use the same handle and battery so if you already have a B&D drill like I did, then you may already have a spare battery. The case is great for storing everything, but not exactly functional for me to carry it around due to the total weight of all of the pieces. But, the carrying case comes in 3 parts that can be used separately when I just want to take part of the set with me, or they can be connected when being used as storage, which is a plus for me. Overall, it has been a great set that I enjoy having around the house many DIY projects.

The Black and Decker Matrix series of modular tools are well built with an attention to quality. Getting the tools heads disconnected takes a little bit of elbow grease, but they are easy to connect and once connected are solid. The included tools in this kit are a nice mix, things you are likely to need in any home restoration project. This is a five star kit, for a good price, but there are a few nitpicks I'll throw out there: The cases are confusing. The big case has many orange clamps that don't seem to do anything and serve no purpose. The two smaller cases fit snugly into groves, but the orange tabs used to secure them have to be closed "just right" or they won't snap on. They stay put once you managed to snap them on, though. There is room in the smaller cases to put a few more tool heads together with this case, but the larger bottom case is full-up, as each tool head has a dedicated spot in the box. Another gripe is the small battery. I know they want to upsell you a larger capacity battery, but really, 2 Ah is underwhelming. Final nit pick is the light attachment. For all the power it has available, the light the attachment puts out is pitiful. They should get some CREE emitters and put out 10k lumens, the power is there.Five Star Cordless Tool Combo Kit.
