Bought this for my military deployment. I had about a 50 lb load and it didn't really take that weight well. See pics. The wheel housings are not integrated with the body of the bad so the wheels warp outward and the wheels even seize at times because of this design flaw. I do not recommend this bag of you plan to carry anything over 20lbs. The vendor, Adorama, is not military friendly and world not allow me to return the bag because too much time had passed since my purchase, not understanding that once military deploys, you likely are stuck with the bag until you return home. I will say that the manufacturer, Blackhawk, if very helpful and sent replacement wheel housings, which sadly didn't work either, and even offered to replace my bag, however the issue with the bag not being able to handle heavy loads still remains and I probably won't even use the new bag on my next deployment.

Price point is good, but as with all things, you get what you pay for. I purchased this duffel at the NEX on Guantanamo Bay for a one-way trip back to the US. The wheels and the plastic casing protectors are of very poor quality. I packed 50 lbs into my bag and it made the wheels split. It looks rugged but it will not last more than a handful of trips.

I bought this bag because I needed a bag to go overseas with that does not look military and did not have molle webbing and velcro all over it, so this bag was exactly what I needed. This bag is very durable and can hold a lot. All of the zippers and buckles work perfectly so far. Storage is great, I have been able to fit a great deal in this bag while still being able to zip it up. I would definitely recommend this bag

Have only used for one trip, but I am really pleased with it. I really like how it is divided into an upper and lower section. Rolls nicely through the airport.

Great bag with multiple use.I borrowed two of these from a friend for a 6 week long trip to Asia with wife and two children. The bags where perfect, easy to pack, easy to access clothes, easy to roll and to put on different airlines. When walking to ferries and buses the kids sat on top and still it was easy and sturdy.Once I got home I ordered two of my own, so I would of course recommend this product to anyone.Other great feature includes- good buckles- strong zipper- access to one compartment from outside- good size wheels

I'm military and travel on trips at least 5 times a year (not counting my leave time flying) and I was getting soooo tired of having to replace my suitcases all the time. I decided to get the Blackhawk ALERT Bag (hell, all my backpacks are Blackhawk, and have lasted for YEARS on many deployments!)I would rate it 5 stars for looks and 6 stars for zipper durability. I do not, however, think the bag is indestructible, but I do think it will last a lot longer than previous luggage I have bought. It wheels well and I really like the inside mesh zippered compartments. and you cannot go wrong with the large YKK zippers they use throughout...most luggage falls short on the zipper and that is usually where the problems start. I bought one for my wife for her Europe Vacation and she loved it (she travels a lot and had the same issue with her suitcases as well. My9 year old daughter is getting one next along with my son who will be going off to the military soon. Like I said, they are not indestructible, and I'm sure I will have to replace it in the future..but it won't be right away and I know I will replace it with another just like it!I would also recommend the Blackhawk Tactical Ultra-light 3 in black (3 day pack) to go with as your perfect travel Backpack...everyone in the family has one of those as wellUPDATE: 2-11-2015 were now up to a total of four of these in the family, the original is still going strong- no complaints!UPDATE: 12-21-2023 mine is still in the fight… had to replace my wife’s 2 years ago (with the same one) as her roller area got busted up by the great folks at the airlines.

I purchased this item about 2 months ago and used it for two trips through six airports' baggage handlers and it has held up well. I stuffed the bag with as many items as possible to a weight of 75lbs and it still works like a charm. The interior compartments provided ample space to hold all my uniforms, helmet, extra items and IBA. It's just large enough to hold all the items, but not overwhelming like some of the larger bags. The handle, zippers, stitching, and wheels feel sturdy, and did not pose any issues. I highly recommend this item and would purchase another one if I had the need.
