I received three Blackwing items as a gift: the Blackwing 602 Pencil (12-count), the One-Step Long Point Sharpener, and the Blackwing White Eraser. The sharpener and eraser were fine. However, upon arrival, the box seal (the clear circular adhesive) was already broken, and there were only 11 pencils instead of the expected 12. This was supposed to be a gift, but due to the missing pencil and damaged packaging, it is unusable as such.Reading the reviews, I see numerous customers reporting similar issues with missing pencils. This suggests that Blackwing either has severe quality control problems or issues with theft in their packaging or distribution channels. Given their premium pricing and claimed commitment to quality, this is entirely unacceptable. I strongly recommend caution when considering these pencils as a gift or purchase until Blackwing takes clear and effective steps to resolve these persistent problems.I am returning all three items and will not be ordering from Blackwing again.
