Your cart is empty.The Japanese samurai were well-known for their sword techniques, many of which included not only a katana, but also a smaller blade, the wakizashi. This Synthetic Shoto Sword allows for a practitioner to train in such techniques with ease and safety. Traditionally, the wakizashi is used in a method similar to the katana, serving as a shorter blade for use in situations when the katana was otherwise too long or unwieldy to draw. This training tool accurately replicates the traditional shoto, down even to the accurate two shaku length (which is about 24 inches). The training sword has a short, curved blade like that of a katana, as well as a rounded guard and a stylized handle to echo the form and feel of a real Japanese sword hilt. Best of all, this training wakizashi is made entirely from polypropylene, which is a synthetic polymer that gives this training weapon more durability than its wooden contemporaries. Paired with our Synthetic Samurai Sword (MC-1802PP), it makes for a fantastic daisho pair to train with and even on its own, this Synthetic Shoto Sword allows for enthusiasts to practice the martial arts in safety.

Bought for three of my grandsons and they loved these. They were different ages so some used to chop weeds while playing in woods behind house. While older ones played using these as pretend weapons. Very sturdy.Had to warn grandsons to be careful not to hurt someone with these.

My 9 year old uses this to perfect his hitting on a dummy. It is a tough sword. We made a sheath out of duct tape. First, wrap the tape around the sword with the sticky side out, then go back over it with the sticky side down.I love that I spent less than $10. He wishes it was longer but I think it's a great deal and long enough for him for now.

This is what your kid needs.....it's solid plastic and can take a beating.Not that cheap hollow junk from the toy store that is going to break within minutes

My son was asking for a sword that he could use for trick training that wasn't light like most faux swords. This one is awesome because it is heavy and durable. He has been using it for a while now and loves that it has the heft of a real sword, without having to risk injuries and property damage along the way. Recommend for anyone looking for a martial arts training sword.

They did not send the rubber ring that holds the guard into place. I did not realize it until I ordered a second one, which did come with it. I saw other reviews saying they were missing parts too. Im just going to roll with it since the guard stays in place pretty well without it, but just be aware they may not send you the entire package. There should be 3 parts total.1. the main blade/handle2. the guard (circular flat thing that slides on)3. rubber collar (part that slides on after to hold the guard in place)Since they are not too expensive and it still serves the purpose for which I purchased them, i'll let it go, but if you want the entire package you paid for I recommend contacting them right away if all 3 parts are not included.The product:I needed a prop to hold that represents a short katana (wakizashi) while doing motion capture work. The wiffer swiffer I had with me was not holding up. Parts were flying off and nearly breaking, so I needed something better. So far these are serving that purpose perfectly. They have a nice weight to them.

La espada viene muy bien protegida, el plástico se ve bastante resistente y la verdad tiene un buen tamaño, buen detalle en el mango y está muy chida 😁
