The reviewer who said it was too bright hit the nail on the head. I've owned my Optoma HD20 for many years and replaced the bulb multiple times, so when I saw how affordable this entire lamp assembly was I was thrilled.Shortly after installation it was obvious that it was very bright and I began to smell something burning. Then a dark spot began forming in the center of the projected image and it grew and grew until I shut the projector off.Turns out the lamp was running so hot and bright that it burned the polarizer panel, which unlike a bulb is a very difficult part to source and replace. My projector is essentially dead now. I cannot recommend taking the chance of having this happen to you, be sure to buy a quality lamp with good reviews.

With the mixed reviews I was hesitant to try this. It's an easy install and just as bright as the Optoma-branded lamp I removed. Works perfectly. Can't beat the price either. I can't speak to the longevity yet.

I'm really happy with this. I put it in an Optoma HD200X. It was easy to remove the old lamp and install this one, just a few screws. It fixed the colour problems I was having and looks very sharp. This lamp was also almost half the price of comparables!

When i replaced the original lamp with this one, it got so hot that smoke started and there was no picture.i ended up replacing the projector
