With bold, upright stems, this vibrant broadleaf shrub is an excellent accent for shady areas. This beauty will also produce small purple flowers in the spring which will turn into red berries in the fall if a male aucuba is planted nearby. Great for beds and borders, hedges, screens, patio and containers. Grows in USDA zones 6-10 and prefers partial sun to shade. It also likes moist, well-drained soil. Dense and rounded habit, Picturata Aucuba can reach 4-6 feet tall and as wide when matured. It is also commonly called Spotted Laurel and native to moist woodland areas, thickets, and valleys from Japan to China to the Himalayas. Average mature growth of 4-6 foot tall by 4-6 foot wide.
