Your cart is empty.Choosing Blue Ox is like having a baseplate custom-made for your vehicle. Blue Ox baseplates are easy on your suspension and even easier on the eye. They have been designed with hidden reinforcement. Blue Ox does not offer a one-size-fits-all support system, but rather a system that is shock absorbing and integrated into the individual bumper frame or unibody with the bumper design of your vehicle. Blue Ox's philosophy is to let the baseplate torsion, or flex, similar to receiver hitches allowing the baseplate to absorb the forces of towing rather than rigidly transferring the forces to the frame of the vehicle.

It took over 2 weeks to receive and we had to modify the passenger side one as the mounting holes for the frame were on the wrong side. Instead of a 3 hour install it took us 6 hours. It would also be nice if they had in the instructions what sized bolts and washers went where. Cost me more money and time to install.

Tab won't turn in one side of the base plate. Sloppy manufacturing. I would have expected better from Blue Ox. Blue Ox refused to help because it was purchased from Amazon. Won't stand behind their product.

The plates matched up perfectly, the install booklet was grainy and difficult to read but there are instructional videos online that make up the diff. Took me about 4-5 hrs working alone for 90% of the time. Take your time cutting the grill inserts, when done right you can hardly see the extra pieces. So far would recommend.

I recently purchased the Blue Ox Baseplate BX1128 for my Grand Cherokee. I found that one item, a Breakaway Bracket, to be missing. On Nov. 22, '21 I contacted Blue Ox Customer Care and asked for a replacement bracket. Customer Care refused to help me because I purchased my Blue Ox product from Amazon. I pointed out that this was a Blue OX product and packaged by Blue OX, not Amazon. I am very disappointed with the complete lack of assistance from Blue Ox.I will be sure to Post this experience so that thousands of my RV friends will know Blue Ox Customer Care, DOES NOT CARE!

Blue Ox tow bar and accessories are high quality. Heavy duty construction, great fit and clear instructions.

It took 4 hours to install including the removal of the front grill, a handy person will have no issues. I added some foam around the cables to keep them away from other hoses. The safety cables are very stiff.

Excellent system. Beware that there are plates that have been made backwards and will not fit. Someone was rotating the parts in upside down in the welding jig. I called Blue Ox to tell them I thought they were made upside down expecting them to say I was crazy or stupid. They said I was right!! They knew of the issue but couldn't track where the parts went. They promptly sent me another kit overnight with a free cover for my problems. Other than the above, I love the system. Very easy to use.

This is a good design and serves us well. Only complaint is minor design changes could have limited the amount of cutting on the trim. Very sturdy and secure. I purchased Blue Ox locks after loosing one of the retaining rings.

I own a 2014, had the dealer install it as part of my purchase price of the Jeep along with my InvisiBrake from Roadmaster. The combination works great. Sometimes it's a tad difficult to detached the Jeep from the RV but easier if your on level ground and RV & jeep are straight inline with each other. I've talk with others and they'll all had the same comment don't forget a hammer.I called the factory before buying and they were very helpful in selecting the correct towbar for the application. Very happy with my choices.

fit was good, I had a local mechanic put it on. I would have had the body shop put it on if he were not so busy. Instructions are excellent with photos of actual car for you to follow. So any mechanic can follow them if you have the tools.

Fit for purpose and does the job. Special tools help move the installation along quicker, but I managed without and still did a 3.5 hour installation.
