Note: In three modes (TX/RX/BYPASS), optical is default. In the case of optical fiber insertion, if AUX is connected at the same time, AUX will take precedence, the machine will automatically recognize AUX and display it. But RCA cannot be used with optical fiber at the same time, you need to unplug the unused cable, otherwise both will not work.
If you connect the adapter to tv through optical cable, please set PCM on TV at first.
Generally, in TV settings, find the audio mode and click on Settings - Sound - Digital Audio Output - Select "PCM".

The problem with this bluetooth receiver is that it cuts out periodically. Quite frustrating. I would be nice if they performed some quality assurance on this product. I bought a different one and it works perfectly.

Purchased a BT TX/RX device like this about 5 years ago. Since that time invested in better quality headphones (low latency) which exceeded the capability of that unit and after finding this unit, decided to give it a test.FUNCTIONOnce the connections were made and the device was paired with my headphones, I was really able to enjoy the improvement in transmission distance and reduced sound delays. With this unit I’m now able enjoy the higher fidelity of my headphones.COMPACT SIZEThe unit is approximately 4.25” wide x 3.5” deep x 1.5” tall (3.5” with the antenna extended). The small size allowed me to easily tuck and hide the device behind living room décor. The rubber pads on bottom of the unit were functional and prevented it sliding off my bookshelf.BONUS POINTS!It is rare these days to get an actual printed User Manual which is: #1 not microsized and #2 has professional illustrations – Well Done & Thank You. The type is still small, however the average audio user will be able find the connection configurations, and if necessary, use a magnifying glass for additional details. #3 Another bonus was having all the key connector cords (Optical, 3.5mm, and RCA) included with the device. For true audiophiles, these cords might not have high-end specifications, however it’s great and convenient they’re included, and for my needs, the Optical and RCA cords functioned properly. Not sure about the 3.5mm cord – did not have an audio component that uses that connection.

I'm giving this item two stars only because it was easy to set up. Otherwise it would be just one star.I purchased this unit because of the size and price. Needed a smaller Bluetooth transmitter for travel.Disconnected my old working Bluetooth transmitter and connected new unit to the same connections. Easy.New unit came on, found and connected to my 5.3 headset. Easy.No sound!Disconnected and reconnected unit but still no sound.Disconnected new unit and reconnected old unit. Sound.Looks like I will need to get a larger, more expensive transmitter.UPDATE: Operator Error.I realized my new Sony 5.3 headphones were not Low Latency. A must if I wanted to make a correct connection to this transmitter. So I purchased headphones with Low Latency, and the transmitter operates as advertised.Changing my rating to five stars.

Got this to enable me to play vinyl on my Bluetooth speakers while having the option to also listen on headphones. All good. Worked straight out of the box.
