Bought this replacement to replace an old one that was warped and causing a grinding/squeaking sound upon startup. Works well and lasted until the entire furnace was replaced due to old age.

This was for my American Standard "Freedom 80" (American Standard/Trane model AUD080C936H4.) After 25 years of service, the bearings on the fan were sticking so it didn't start up when the thermostat called for heat. Without this working, the furnace won't operate.This was an exact replacement, with a better motor, and included the gasket. It took me about a half hour to swap it out. There are videos on YT that show how it's done. Anyone handy with a socket set should be able to do it. A furnace shop I checked wanted around $700 to do this.

Like another person said. It looked different from the one being replaced. Happy to report it fit perfectly and was correct. Even though it was different. Fixed the problem, load noise at startup. Couldn't last much longer.

One of the easier repairs I have done, a handful of screws and a plug.Whisper quiet at a great price. Also the gasket comes with it, it took me a second to figure that out when I ordered.My old one had a bearing go bad, this took me about 20 minutes total, the only pain for me was holding the gasket and unit with one hand while trying to line up the screw holes.

We thought that this part was the error in our furnace. But it turned out it was the board. We replaced this part anyways due to appearing like it was rusting out.It works perfectly, so we are happy.Oh this is for a XE80 Trane system.
