The ivory color is yellow-ish/ecru. Don’t expect it to be a neutral off-white or bone. The bedspread is woven densely enough and is like a drapey blanket. It would serve well as a blanket in fact. I would have kept it if it had not glowed so yellow.

We love our current large patchwork quilt so even though it is way too heavy for most of the year, we did not want to replace it. We wanted to find a light-weight, breathable and soft, coordinating bed cover with a subtle texture - one that would be long enough to cover the side rails of our king-size bed and also to pull up around our shoulders when sleeping. This bedspread met EVERY criteria! It is a very large, high quality, textured cotton bedspread. The color (sage green) was exactly as shown and it is REALLY big (120" x 120")! Bedspreads this size are not easy to find. I washed and dried it as directed before putting it on the bed and it did shrink a little bit (as expected, since it's cotton) but it is still the perfect size. I would recommend this bedspread for anyone looking for something very large and lightweight that will complement but not overwhelm your decor.

This is not true matelasse. The pattern is similar the texture is not. The bedspread is oversized which is good but I would consider this a summer bedspread. Its on the thin side. Wash before using and expect to clean out your filter on dryer.You can make a traditional bed with the bedspread with a tuck. Bedspread must be layered underneath with blankets if you live in cold climate.

This bedspread is very thin. It reminded me of the white cotton blankets you would see at a hospital. It did not compliment my bed at all. I liked that it was cotton but too thin for a bed spread. It would be perfect for an additional blanket under a bedspread. I would keep it for that reason if I had not ordered the oversized king.

I wanted an oversized bed cover, as I didn't want to buy a bed skirt. This cover is definitely oversized. I pulled the cover up to the top of the mattress, and it was so long at the bottom that I had to tuck it in around the mattress at the foot to keep it off the floor. I think it would probably be fine if the cover were pulled up and tucked over the pillows, but as it comes with pillow shams, I didn't use it that way. If you don't want to tuck it in, that is probably the way you will have to use it, as it is very long. All in all, it is a very pretty bed spread, large enough to cover without a bed skirt, and looks good on the bed. UPDATE: Now that I've washed it for the first time, I would like to change my review. The dryer filter was full of black material from the cover. When I put it back on my bed, it left hundreds of black "pills" all over the sheet. I took it off, and will not be putting it back on. I do not recommend this spread. It looks fine, but does not do well when washed.

The color is just the right shade of Sage Green that I hoped for. I washed the bedspread immediately after it arrived. It came out with small puffs of cotton lint, but they were easy to brush off. The material is very soft, the spread is a nice, light weight, and the diamond pattern looks elegant. I wish the width were greater: there is too much of a gap between the floor and the edge of the bedspread. The type of bed I have does not allow for a dust-ruffle.There are two pillow shams included. I have no use for them - can't imagine having to unpack the pillows every night and pack them back into the shams every morning. There must be people who like them.

I immediately opened the package and placed this spread over my king bed to check sizing... it is definitely oversized and has plenty of room over all edges of the bed. Note I only have a mattress on a platform frame, no box spring. This is exactly what I was looking for as I'm hoping it will end cover hogging wars with my husband ;) Its soft and super light weight but still warm. Before I used it, I threw it in the washer. Upon opening, it did smell pretty strongly of plastic, assuming the plastic packaging had something to do with that. The smell came out with 1 wash. I did read a review prior that an extreme amount of lint comes off in the dryer and it's TRUE! I was very surprised at the thick sheet of lint I removed from the trap only halfway through the drying cycle. A large amount of lint collected again by the end but not as much as the beginning of drying. I will keep an eye if this is a one time thing or continues with every wash. There was slight shrinkage after a wash/dry but not enough to effect the fit. Overall very happy with this spread!

It is so hard to find 100% cotton bedspreads and this one is PERFECT! Soft, no chemical smell, I noticed a previous comment about a smell. Mine did not have any odor at all. ??? It is also the right size. Have you noticed that spreads sized as King hardly reach the edges anymore? This spread covers the entire bed correctly. now if it only came in a light pink or blush I would be in heaven. But, the ivory is a beautiful shade. The shipment came very quickly with a super nice email from Blue Nile. I am super happy with the quality and price.
