The QWLWBU Bobbin Case for Brother and Babylocks Sewing Machines (XC3152221) was an identical fit for the original bobbin case of my Brother XR9550 sewing machine. The bobbin case I received had a small notch pointed to by the red arrow in the attached photo. That notch does seem to be there in the product photos but not as rough and pronounced as in the case I have. I am no sewing machine mechanic but I felt I did not get as good a stitch with this case as I did with the one I replaced. The notch might or might not be affecting the stitch but I can't recommend this bobbin case based on my experience.

So my thread was bunching and getting caught so I did everything I could do to fix it until I remembered I might need to change the bobbin case and this did the trick.

This was not the same as the part that I had for my Brother machine. An unfortunate problem. Would not recommend trying if it is like this for your machine, as the potential to ruin the machine is real, and let's face it they're an investment!

I don’t know why this particular part for a well known brand didn’t work at all.
