My son wanted to get into streaming. I thought this would be a good way to allow him to control volumes separately but it doesn't seem to be made for this. That was not the reason for the loss in stars.I hooked this up and the instructions are super limited and I feel like that limited the ability to get any use out of this. It certainly is pretty when it lights up but I was hoping for something a little more functional.

This mixer has pretty mu8ch every function and option you would need for basic DJ'ing or for small band setups. I initially set this up as a mixer for my solo playing and used it to imput a single guitar and single vocal. Output went to a basic PA system. It was easy to balance the inputs and provide the basic effects I needed to obtain a really professional sound. Next I set it up by using 2 mics on the guitar and a single condensor for the vocals. I also connected to my laptop to provide backing tracks and drum loops. It was easy to adjuct the sounds and provide the necessary effects.I find it to be a clean sound with low distortion and little noise. THe controls are easy to see and use and the options are rarely seen at this price point. I really like this small mixer and it can be used is so many different situations. I am very happy with it and will be using it a lot in the future.

My first impression included the terms 'professional' and 'quality' when I opened the container and began examining the Mixer. The engineers have packed a set of desirable features into this 7.25" X 7.25" X 1.5" metal box. The only downside is that we now need a better set of microphones and cables to take advantage of the concern for 'pure' sound processing this unit provides.Separate gain levels exist for effects and low, middle, and high bandwidths for 2 separate microphone or line inputs. A separate gain setting exists for the microphone inputs along with a left-right balance setting. A separate set of equivalent controls manage the same settings for channels 3 and 4.Power options include a "C" type USB interface for a 5v power supply and 2 OTG (on the go) connectors to attach a computer, tablet, or smart phone to the mixerI have yet to test the features fully, but am certainly motivated to do so for potential podcasts and music sessions. Given my early impressions of the mixer, I don't expect its performance to disappoint me.(I am eager to learn of others' feedback.)

I do some amateur DJ'ing for friends and family and one thing that I've hated about lugging my equipment around is that when I'm setting up my table there's almost no room for a mixer, and you definitely need one if you're going to do the job with any level of quality. So I picked up this little bad boy and it's pretty good with a few notable exceptions that you need to be aware of.This thing has phantom power on the two XLR channels. It says 4 channel but it's 2 monos controlled individually, and one stereo controlled by one set of controls. Not a huge deal breaker but if you really need channels 3 and 4 broken up, this won't be for you.The main output is 1/4" unbalanced jacks. No XLR output FYI, and if you're sending to control / monitor you're going to need RCA cables. For me, these tradeoffs are just fine for the savings in space. Great little unit I recommend it if these things aren't dealbreakers for you.

Like many of these small mixers it is powered by your typical USB connection. This comes in really useful for connecting to a power pack type battery. So you can use is most anywhere. It' a bit unusual in so much as it is white. So be sue you are ok with a white mixer. I find being white it is easy to fine in a backpack full of portable hardware. The controls are you standard controls. it's nice that is has low/mid/high frequency controls. A lot only have 2. Although they say it has 4 channels, it really is 3 channels, with the third slider acting as 3/4.The sliders feel very nice. They are very smooth. But there is not dust shield on the solders. That may be a issue down the road. You get a few fairly decent effects. I like the turn knob for changing effect. At lot easer then a button. Also there is USB in, 48 volt, phones, monitor and main out. All good. I only wish they had a mono out from the mains. But for a small mixer it packs a lot of features.
