For those out there with an XP first gen, the Jessica 44/44(1-1/8) threadless headset (or comparable) and a new threadless style folding stem along with some spacers will work. All parts can be found on Amazon. I modified the folding stem to retain most of the old one, as it was of higher quality than what I was able to find on Amazon. I used some stainless cushion clamps around the shock tube for the fender brace. Take care to route wires and cables in a manner that allows full travel of the fork without binding. I made it all work on my XP, but I am a fabricator by trade (NOT a bike mechanic). If all this sounds like too much, as it would be for most, contact your local bike shop!!!As far as the fork is concerned, over all I am pleased so far. 4 stars because there are some manufacturing tolerance and rigidity issues, but not enough to make it unusable. Overall quality appears good for the price point. Time will tell. Mind you it is taller than the stock fork and will slightly change the geometry of the bike, but this is not an issue for me. Also, it will increase the folded dimensions slightly as it will push the front wheel out a little farther. The air fork takes the jar from the handlebars as the suspension seat post did for my back vastly improving ride quality.

Bought with no reviews, because I liked the specs. Figured Id go for it. It was what I wanted to spend. What a great up grade for my Swagtron. For the money this shock kicks butt. Good quality and I was impressed right out of the box. Like a new bike. Install went smooth. Very happy.

It is a great bargain fork but I purchased this because the description says “riders can adjust different degrees of rebound effect according to their own weight and riding needs”.I see no rebound adjustment and so the front may bounce like a car with bad shocks. My ebike is back heavy and without rebound control I worry about loss of traction after each bounce. The is not an issue for most rides and riders but maybe not when one of your ‘riding needs’ is the times your going downhill on a washboard fire road or a chunky single track.Perhaps they confuse the ABS adjustment with a rebound adjustment.Again, this is probably NOT an issue.

Upgraded from a rigid fork from my rad runner 2. Only complaint is the steerer tube is a little short. But I made it work. I personally like it but I had to adjust a few things. In order to make my stock handle bars to work with this fork…Stem Star nut tool and star nut givenLonger caliper bolts.Caliper spacersLonger brake cable and housing.Also deleted the bigger stem spacer that came with the rad runner.Plus side this came with a crown for the bearing and a extra star nut.Pros-improved comfort!!! Softer ride before I’d get bucked on my commute. Even on any little crack on the road or cat eye I run over. Now it plows through it.- easy install if you are mechanically inclined.Cons- it changes the geometry of the bike giving it more of a upright ride.-Stock kick stand will tilt to one side because of the travel on the fork.
