This product is advertised as a bulging disc but the disc did not bulge at all when squeezed. I returned the item and had it replaced, but the second one they sent me did not bulge at all either. Very disappointing.

This does not demonstrate a bulge, when I pressed down I expected to see a portion of the disc material pop out but it doesn't. Other people seem to be satisfied so I will order again after retuning this one and see if maybe this one was just a dud.

This model is very cheaply made, the "disc" blew out when squeezed after about 3 months of use sending liquid and bits flying around the office. It's also not anatomically to scale; the vertebral height is not tall enough compared to the disc height. You get what you pay for.

This product works well if you'd like to show the vertebral anatomy at a close view. Conveniently can move into flexion and extension. The disc bulge may be a little worrisome or exaggerated and you need to be careful with it to not have the disc literally burst and leak it's fluid.Great product otherwise.

Great to show spine surgery patients to explain their herniations. An orthopedic surgeon my husband works with got a little too excited about it and squeezed it too hard so the fluid sprayed on all the doctors sitting on the couch across from him. Lol. So we ordered another, but we aren't letting any orthopedic surgeons near our new one.
