Slip, slop, slap, wrap
- SLIP on protective clothing
Choose clothing that:
- Covers as much skin as possible, such as a long sleeved shirt with a collar
- Is made from close weaved materials such as cotton, polyester or linen
- Is dark in colour to absorb UV rays. Lighter colours will reflect the UV rays onto your skin
- If used for swimming, wear material such as lycra which stays sun protective when wet.
- SLOP on SPF30+ or higher sunscreen
Make sure your sunscreen is broad spectrum and water resistant. Apply sunscreen to clean, dry skin at least 20 minutes before going outside and reapply every two hours.
- SLAP on a hat
A broad brimmed or bucket stlye hat provides the ultimate protection for the face, nose, neck and ears which are common skin cancer sites. Caps and visors do not provide adequate protection.
- WRAP on some sunglasses
Sunglasses, in combination with a broad brimmed hat can reduce UV radiation exposure to the eyes by up to 98 per cent. Choose close fitting sunglasses that meet the Australia Standard AS 1067. It is estimated 20 per cent of cataracts occur due to UV exposure to the eye. Remember, sunglasses are just as important for children, as they are for adults.

I got the sailor design and I was so happy with the purchase. My son turned 1 a month ago and I ordered him size 12-18. It definitely won’t fit 3-4 months from now so if your baby runs on the taller side or is above his the common height and weight of their group I would go up another size!!! Besides that I will be getting the same design once my baby grows out of this one :)

It was a slightly loose on her for her first year (she was 8-11 months old wearing it), but this year she is almost two and still fits her amazingly! It protects her from the sun and saves us on sunscreen too! She does not over heat in it either. It is not revealing, which I like because there are some real creeps out there these days. I am going to save it and see if it will fit her next summer as well. I will update and let everyone here know. It is just that kind of material and shape that kids can grow with it.

Bought this for my 10mo old guy (not sure why it's labelled 'girls') and it fits and looks great. Very hard to find non-blue swimmers for kids these days so this is great. Helps him stand out in the blue swimming pool. The hat is a little big, but we never really use it anyway.

Fit well, easy to put on/take off with zipper front. Practical for your toddler while in sun. Wear hat with other daily activities even when not swimming. Runs a bit small.

ADORABLE! The 3-6 size fits my 12 week baby perfectly and I’m sure it’ll fit til the end of summer. Easy to put on and take off. I’m so glad I don’t have to lotion her down. The hat fits perfectly and is adorable.

I purchased this suit for my currently 2 month old. I bought the 3-6 month size and with her close to 13lbs and 23 inches tall, she fits in it pretty well! I believe it will fit through the summer, but I will update this and let everyone know. The material is soft but feels durable. The hat is a good fit and style as well. Gave 4 stars only because it came with marks on the hat and back of the suit.

This suit is adorable, and fits great. The only thing that would make it better would have been if there were snaps at the bottom to make diaper changes more efficient. The hat that came with it was too large for the baby's head at this point, but it was still cute and he will eventually grow into it. No complaints! Great price!
