This is a cheap piece of crap that does what it is supposed to do basically perfectly. This is a flat piece of plastic that is able to illuminate an entire page well. People will appreciate variation in color and intensity. It can almost do 8 1/2 by 11 but sizes under that are well lit. The plastic sorta kinda has to get smudged. A helpful cloth is included that removes smudges. It doesn't seem like it could take rough use by a 4 year old but it lives by my bedside and is not subject to any stress. At least decent battery life and NO BATTERIES needed as it is rechargeable.

I use this to read in bed next to my wife as to not bother her with a full lamp. Very bright; but the light is focused on the book enough as to not disturb her sleep. Works well!

We needed a way for one kid to read while the lights were out so the other could sleep. This has several choices of light temperature and a nice timer function. Haven't had an issue with battery life. It did scratch easily when my child threw it carelessly in a duffel bag

Too small for an average hardcover. I'd say it'd only really work for a mass market paperback but even then, it wouldn't be comfortable to use. Screen feels plastic and cheap and easily scratches. It's not convenient to use at all. I wouldn't recommend.

I like this flat reading light. It is the first one of this kind that I have tried and I love it. It’s easy to use and charge and works well for reading at night and not giving off a lot of light that would bother others
