I'm a fly fisherman and it was a pain to hold the rod while tieing up a fly or needing 2 hands to do something so I was interested in ways that could hold my rod easily and safely and this was perfect and what's even better is it didn't cost much. This connected onto my waders belt but could probably fit most every other belt. It uses velcro to hold the rod handle and seems it will last quite awhile before that starts to wear out as I've been using it alot lately with no issues . I have tried other more expensive products that have failed me or I didn't like the way it held the rod. Awsome value for the money and I'm gonna buy a few more for presents for my buddies

Didn’t hold my fly rod. It’s small and doesn’t hold well.

I used this for a little while before switching to a more variable rod holder. I like to keep my rods fully assembled while wading in order to switch back and forth, and this just wasn't the right product for my set up. I needed something that could hold it at an angle to keep my spare rod out of the water. It is good for transport, though.

I really hate trying to hold my pole, hold the line and try to tie a fly on. Let's just say the sound of running water cover some thing that ought not to be heard by anyone but the fishes. lol. This silly little gadget you put on your belt solves that nicely. It acts as a 3rd hand holding the rod and freeing up your hand to do what you need to do.

I love this little rod holder, there’s 2 small Velcro straps to hold to your belt and one big Velcro strap to hold your rod. It’s not in the way or even noticeable, but it sure comes in handy when your line gets tangled on those windy days, or the fish swallowed your fly, or the fish ate your fly, or…

I have another "3rd hand" device that is plastic and adjustable. It is too big, isn't as secure to the belt, it's fidgety getting the rod secured, and sometimes gets in the way. This Booms device is smaller, lighter, more secure to the belt and easier to secure my fly rod. The rod angle isn't adjustable but that feature is rarely needed. My expensive one now resides in my garage and the Booms is residing on my wading belt. Great product!
