Bought this steering shaft to replace my stock steering shaft and at first I was impressed. Felt smooth steering was great. Key word above is was, after 20k miles i started to notice some knocking from the front end and went ahead and replaced what I thought may have been the problem parts. Now at 50k since the steering shaft was installed I have a lot of crackling and popping in my steering. I removed the drag link to try to see if it was a tie rod/ drag link issue and turning the wheel I realized that the noise and the feelings are coming through the steering shaft. I have owned this product under a year and in 60k total miles I either need to rebuild this hunk of junk or throw a stock steering shaft back in my truck(2012 ram 3500). No lift kit and I am on a stock tire size so no reason in 60k miles for a steering shaft to go bad. If you are looking to buy this Borgeson steering shaft I would look else where and spend your $350 somewhere else.

Just spent 3 hours scratching my head as you Why the one end would not fit. It could have been one of three things, 1 Wrong Part, 2. Defective, or a Bad design? I've been working on cars a long time never saw anything like this. Because the old shaft had to be cut to remove it (this happens sometimes with these) I'm dead in the water until I get a replacement. Not happy at all we can't go anywhere now without steering on our truck. So if you order one of these and you can't get the old shaft out without cutting it be prepared to wait until you get the right part. I purchased a second one it still doesn't fit? I'm not sure what the issue is? Or how to move forward now.

Been putting up with the OEM steering shaft rattle for a few years now. Truck has 165k miles at this time. Not only did this remedy the rattle, the steering is so much tighter! Overall the truck feels much better to drive. I wish I would have done this year's ago! Install was also very easy.
