The shoes seem to be of decent quality, but the amazon suggestion that these fit a 1967 Beetle is not always accurate as they were too wide to fit in the backing plate assembly. These are the 1.58 inch wide versions, while most 1967 models like mine take the 1.18 inch wide ones, which would instead be part #BS270. Hope this helps someone learn the easy way and not the hard way.
