We specialize in Historic masonry repair, and use these blades on our Bosch oscillating multi tools, to remove Portland cement mortars from the head joints of brick walls. No-one seems to make these kinds of blades specifically for mortar removal, this particular one is supposed to be used for grout removal from tiles. However, as there's nothing on the market to compare them with, we'll carry on using them as they're the best. We typically use between 30-50 on each repointing project.

I used it to clean in between tiles before grouting , and to cut cement board , it was useful in both cases .

This Bosch carbide rasp has bigger and more durable carbide than the Fein version. I have used it primarily to clean up after removing tile. It will also chew through wood and construction adhesive easily.

Great for getting hard to reach cracks when stripping my deck! I ordered two more just in case, but after 6 hours of use there is minimal wear considering I accidentally ran into some nails. It would be awesome if they made more variations in Grit and length, but it does the trick I need it to for now.

Unfortunately very poor quality. Used for grout (approximately 1.2m) and already lost top coat.

The usual hook/loop sanding heads were too big for the area I was working, so I thought I'd give this a shot. It's a great size for a narrow space, and best of all, when it got gunked up I cleaned it off with laquer thinner and it was as good as new. Project completed, finger cleaned and ready for next time.

I do a lot of small ceiling repairs due to water damage from leaking pipes and for these jobs where the house in occupied and full of furniture its very important to be able to make a clean cut with minimal dust. Using this blade I can make a nice clean cut just as fast as I can make a sloppy cut with a hand saw while leaving the paper undamaged and making much less dust.Have not done a shower pan since purchasing, but I have both this blade and the diamond blade so I will report back on ceramic tile when I get the opportunity.

When it comes to removing tile grout there is no silver bullet. Anyway you approach it is going to be time consuming and laborious. I’ve tried the handheld tools with carbide blades....way too difficult. I used a reciprocating saw (sawsall) with appropriate carbide grout blades. This worked but the tool is heavy and cumbersome and there is a greater risk of damaging the surrounding tiles. On my latest project removing grout from a shower where the floor meets the vertical walls, I decided to try the Bosch OSL234HG. It fit my Rockwell RK5132K oscillating tool. An oscillating tool is easier to control and manage and is much lighter relative to a reciprocating saw. As with any cutting blade, it worked well out of the box. But I noticed after removing approx eight linear feet of grout the blade wasn’t cutting as aggressively and required significantly more pressure (and time). I’ll need to order another blade to complete the job. The positives about the blade is that it allows access into tight corners to completely and cleanly remove the grout. Again, the downside is that it dulled after about eight linear feet. My Rockwell tool can be speed adjusted on a scale of 1 to 9. I used the #4 setting. Ear and dust protection a must.

Fantastic product. I burnt out multiple rotary carbide grout bits on one shower without putting a dent in even one line. I removed all of the grout from an entire 32”x60” shower, with a tile ceiling with only 1 blade. It cleaned well into the corners and to the base with no damage. You must be careful though as the crust on the blade is diamond and will cut the glaze and tile itself quite easily. I highly recommend this product

The carbide coating is on both sides of the blade and overall it looks like good quality carbide. I've only used it on a few cuts so far but the blade still looks like new. I imagine it'll last a while. If you're not familiar with Starlock blades, they are a quick-release mount blade primarily designed to be used on Starlock mount tools. However you can use these blades on most other non Starlock oscillating tools. Some tools may require an adapter which Bosch sells. If you buy an oscillating tool that has a Starlock mount please note you can only use Starlock blades, you will not be able to use your non Starlock blades on a Starlock tool. If you currently own a non Starlock oscillating tool and plan to buy a Starlock tool at some point in the future, then you might want to consider buying Starlock blades for your current tool, that way you can still use them later on when you buy a Starlock mount equipped tool.
