I bought and used this tool to drill five holes in a concrete floor, ( 3" deep) with my Bosch Rotary Hammer model 11255VSR ( SDS Plus) and the tool worked excellent, and did NOT heat up as it allegedly did for some of the other customers who chimed in here. But for full disclosure, allow me to point out that due to the several other previous reviews about this product which were negative, I took the warnings to heart and took some precautionary steps to improvise. At least two or more of the previous reviews described there being trouble with the Allen head bolt on this tool being ineffective and the tool sliding off of the Bosch rotary hammer during use. So what I did to prevent that from happening, is I tightened the Allen head good and tight, and then I installed a radiator hose clamp around the tool right next to the Allen head bolt, ( see photos). I also wrapped the tool with Gorilla tape to help secure it to the Bosch rotary hammer, and this improvision worked perfectly, because I had no problems at all with the tool sliding off during use. I don't know how this tool would work if I had to drill 20 or 30 holes or more in one day. After all, I'm not a professional mason nor contractor. I'm merely a DIY home owner. And what I can tell you is that for drilling five 3" deep holes in concrete in a very shallow/tight area, this tool is perfect for that, provided the hose clamp and the Gorilla tape is used like I did. I was a little concerned about the Gorilla tape melting and leaving me with a nasty gooey mess on my Rotary hammer afterward, but as I've already stated, this tool did not heat up for me at all and I didn't even use gloves to hold handle it during use. In fact, the only thing that heated up was the SDS Plus masonry bit itself, ( which of course is normal/usual). So there wasn't any mess nor melted tape glue to contend with afterward. I was able to pull the tape off of the tool and off of my Bosch Rotary hammer without any hassle. Now as far as the complaints by some others about this tool preventing, or reducing the hammer action during the drill procedure, that was not an issue for me. I noticed a couple times in the middle of drilling the holes, the hammer action stopped while the bit was merely spinning, and I just wiggled the rotary hammer a little bit to manipulate it, and the hammer action resumed without a problem, and the bit began cutting it's way deeper into the concrete.MY CONCLUSION: For drilling several holes in a tight area, ( let's say less than a dozen holes) this tool is very effective and will get the job done. As long as you don't rely on the Allen head clamping bolt alone to prevent the tool from sliding off your Bosch rotary hammer. Yes, it's unfortunate that this tool costs close to the same price, ( if not a little more) than your Bosch rotary hammer cost you. But I haven't found any alternative that is less expensive for drilling in tight areas. For drilling a dozen holes or less in a tight space, I recommend this tool. I couldn't have completed my task without it, and I will use it again if I ever have the need.

These do not last. The first one lasted half a day.The replacement lasted two holes. We now use the Hilti version and it's great.

Need to use this tool to drill/hammer a concrete hole in narrow space, but it only make my rotary hammer become an angle drill, without hammering effect. nothing happened after 1 minutes drilling. The most useless and stupid Bosch tools I ever had.

Didn't fit any of our Bosch drills but did fit our cordless Makita hammer drill. Had to hold on to the attachment while drilling. I does work if you need to drill in a tight spot.

Worked for a few holes, but does not have power or direct force enough for tight spaces...also depends on the hardness of the concrete you are drilling into (gravel in the concrete) When using the normal straight down drilling it goes like butter, but the angle attachment loses power or force and does not drill well enough downwards even when pressing down on it.

It worked very nice.

Works great. It is difficult to get get enough force behind the bit when drilling in tight spaces, but if you can use a board as a lever and lean on the bit this will drill as fast as if you are using the regular chuck.
