Glad I didn't listen to the reviews I read. I took a chance knowing that most people don't know how to wire an amp properly, glad I did. I have 2 2500 watt boss 12" 4ohm dual coil subs. I have them hooked up parallel, running 1 ohm config. The amp powers the subs just as I would have expected. I haven't installed my second battery or broken-in my subs yet, so I haven't cranked the amp. I've gone as high as 60amps @14.5v. the amp didn't get warm and sound was clean, even when I turned up the LP filter. so I'm very happy with it the wire lugs have a nice design and the backlight is a nice touch. If I have any issues I'll update this review. If you don't understand any of this then first of all don't install the amp yourself, don't write reviews if you blow it up, and trust that most negative reviews are from people who either didn't supply enough power (that means volts amps and wire size not just wire size SMH) or dont understand ohms law and have no idea what config. they are using. more ohms means higher resistance, which means you need more power, but you get substantially better sound from speakers at a higher impedance, 1ohm is not meant to sound clean, it's meant to hit hard, deep bass AKA sound pressure (SP) not sound quality (SQ)

Got it for my boyfriends car, works great for his 2, 12” 2250W Alpine type R subs. Can’t turn the car volume up past 20. 👍🏻

The red LEDs are a cool affect that effected me as a consideration to buy. I'm using the amp on 12in subs by Kicker. For my ride the sound quality is banging if I want or just plain awesome to chill & cruise!

This amp gets the job done . It brings all the wiring you need out of the box I have a 1200w sub hooked up to this and it makes it hit hard and the volume is not all the way up. I dint install the sub vol tho

I've always been a fan of BOSS Audio. The 5000w amp works great and it was an easy setup. I'm running two 12" MTX subwoofers in a ported box. More than enough power to push the subs to its limits. Clean low bass and i would definitely recommend for those that experience clipping on their sound systems to get a bigger gauge wire (that's usually the case with that problem). Get this amp... It's really good for the price!

Bought this with a pair of matching subs in a dodge magnum. this amp is rated at 3000 watts probably putting out 1500-2000 watts rms. It still produces plenty of hard hitting bass havent had it tested. But for a budget amp this thing rocks. Its not a memphis audio or JL audio 1000 watt but its also under$300 so for the price i would buy another.

Purchased this amp for a car I was working on. It set on a shelf for almost a year before I installed it. Played for 2 songs then stopped. Everything lights up and it acts like its working but nothing from speaker outputs. Of course since I had it so long before I installed it there is nothing they will do. I removed cover and can see where the outputs are burned. It is the worst soldering job on any electronic I have ever seen. It looks like a 5 year old built it. This amp was designed to fail! Either that or the quality control at Boss is horrible. Do not purchase!Revised 06/29/2017- After speaking with Boss they agreed to honor 6 year warranty and are going to service and repair amp for free. I have to pay shipping but that is to be expected. If all goes well and I receive amp back repaired I will update this post and revise again.Waiting on 1st amp to be repaired so decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and ordered a 2nd amp for my other vehicle. Upon arrival I took to installation shop to make sure it was done properly. Long story short they said amp was blown when hooked up. And of course I'm a few days past Amazon replacement date. Do not buy this amp! Would give zero stars if I could

Is it a good amp? In a word..... yes! Is it 4000W? No. Now that being said it runs 2 500w RMS subs at 2 ohms no problem. Haven’t had any overheating, faults, distortion, or cutouts. Seems to run like a champ. Now it’s no high end amp. But that all being said, for the price..... well it’s a dam good bargain. Does exactly what it says and is reliable so far. I’m pleased with with my boom for the buck.
