Can’t go wrong with Bourns electric guitar parts! 🤘😈

decided to make the switch to Bourns after using exclusively CTS and i like these much better. soldering sticks to them better, the lugs/terminals and the fiberboard attaching them are both more robust, the entire back is flat so you can put solder anywhere (unlike most CTS that have the little divot on the back with the nub that is attached to the shaft that you need to keep clear unless you want your pots not to move freely) and they just feel way way way smoother than all of the CTS pots i’ve used. will definitely be going with Bourns every time i need pots from now on and would definitely recommend them.

I really like these in my Strat. Smooth sweep and in spec.

I use Bourns variable resistors exclusively in my guitar repairs.I've been using them for decades going back to my days in the military where I used a lot of Bourns mil-spec pots.

These work and they’re smooth but they don’t come with enough mounting nuts for putting them in a pick guard. The shafts are way too long so you have to put them in low and you have to buy another set of nuts to do so.

I'm a physicist not a musician. I have never rebuilt an electric guitar before. I did not know which potentiometers to use. These were my best guestimate. On the expensive side as a potentiometer should not be more than $2 each. I went with these in case there was some miracle aspect that I was not considering. There is not. So long as the potentiometer can handle the Voltage and Amperage you are good to go. Also consider mechanical aspects such as neck diameter and length and shaft diameter and length. So far (9 months and about 100 hours of playing) so good. The mechanics are smooth. The response is linear. There is no extra noise when adjusting. My musician friend enjoys playing this guitar again.

Excellent quality pots. Good smooth operation with even adjustments. The only thing that some may not like is that there is no resistance when turning the pots in either direction. I know this will be a deal breaker for some but it doesn't bother me, they are nice and smooth and seem to have a broader range than the original ones.

These work perfectly and are a vast improvement over the china made crap that came in my Squire guitar. Actually replaced all the electronics with American made.

These Pots are excellent. All read the exact same and were around 4% tolerance. They move freely though the entire range with low drag and no dead spots. The sound quality from the pickup is excellent, no humming or crackling while adjusting. I would compare these to the CTS Pots (look, feel and quality) and at half the cost. The outer shaft is a little larger so the pick guard mounting hole had to be slightly enlarged and I could not use the locking washer from the old Pot. The shaft is still 6MM (18 spline) so I could use the original knobs. The shaft sticks out a little further than the original Pot by about a millimeter or two but this may be because I could not use the original locking washer and used one of the supplied flat washers. Bought the three pack since the Bass is only two months old and one of the three Pots failed already because Fender used the cheapest Pots ever on this "Beginner" instrument.
