This definitely fun to play with! It takes a little trial and effort to get the effect you want. What impresses me the most is the number of patterns you get with this item. I will say you need the length of a studio to maximize your use of this unless your plan is bathing your subject with the light pattern. That’s because while you have the ability to focus, you don’t zoom. Much like a prime lens, you, simply move this closer or further away to get your desired effect. The moon effect has this about 8 feet from the backdrop so you can see how a small space will limit you somewhat. Still, this is an amazing addition to my gear bag and some shoots will warrant the creativity this gives me. I didn’t have much luck with the gels, but I had the light low power and didn’t problem solve that aggressively. Definitely a solid product that I can recommend.

The build quality of this projector isn't that great. The fit of the Bowens mount is a bit sloppy, and the focus adjustment is very loose. It also has a bit more light spill from the side than I'd like. It does come with a great selection of 62mm gobos that all fit into an included plastic case. The color filters are solid plastic that have a protective film that you need to remove before you use them. The snoot itself is pretty lightweight. I do wish that this came with some kind of case to keep it in instead of just using the box. Considering the price point of this projector snoot, while it is not the best quality, it does actually work so I am happy with it.
