It was exactly as advertised. I used it as a base weight in an old lamp.

Had to remove a bit of material to make this a viable solution for a lamp the wife loved but worked well.

I had a pair of lamps and for some reason one of the cast iron weights cracked apart. (18 years old) Purchased this; wired back in place; worked great.
