I have a cheap Gammon set and this replaced the broken mount after altering it by sanding a curve into the base. The screw holes were exactly correct to avoid redrilling the drum. Quality of the metal is a little light but it'll do for a basement kit that doesn't travel.

So, the tom mount works for what I need it for perfectly. I needed it to mount my EAD module to my mixer stand. However, if I was relying on this to be of aesthetic importance I would be a little disappointed. The the cast work to create the body of the mount is not great at all. It has voids, just like if you pour concrete and don’t tap/vibrate the edges to make sure everything settles evenly. Of course on the other side of things, if I needed this piece to be aesthetically pleasing, I wouldn’t buy a $12 part.. Does the job I needed it to do.
